I hated the humidity this summer one part of my body cannot take the heat the other that is sick don't like the cold. I guess maybe I need to live in a bubble big enough for me my dog and my sewing and quilting things. LOL Take care my friend. Come join us on the site when you can.

Going to head to Denver to see DS#1 next month and #2 came home for a visit on leave. Drop me a line and let me know what you are up to.
Hello Paula, Linda told me you have a new grandbaby, congragulations. Boy or Girl? They are so sweet at that time of there lives. I don't have no babies anymore the youngest is soo 11. WOW This grandma is getting old.
Hey I have been meaning to ask you. You hand quilt and would you be interested in some hoops. One stands on the floor. I don't do hand quilting and probable never will with my fingers. You can let me know and maybe it will be call for a road trip to your areas one of these fall days. SHould be pretty this time of year.
Take care and hope the health issues get better. My bone density test was way to low for the dr so I have to take yet another medicine.
Give the baby a hug from one of your quilting friends.
Hello Paula, had not seen you post lately so just wanted to check in and make sure you were alright, We are all getting ready to go to the show here in a couple of weeks, Sure wish you could come along this year, Me and you are going to have to get together cause you are not to far from me. I could even come down your way. Hope this finds you good. Take care talk to you soon.
Paula, saw your picture when I was reading what you wrote on Nancy Alberts page and thought that is Snickers but I never took a picture of Snickers and me like that, when I realized it wasn't me in the picture. Because the background was darker I only saw the white dog. Your baby is so cute. Sure looks like mine. Mine is a Yorkiepoo.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
Paula-You asked how I broke my neck. It's a strange situation, but I was working as an assistant recrecreation director at a summer camp (I was a phys ed major) and during what was called a trust fall, where someone falls backwards into a group with locked arms, I was at the end of the group catching the person who was up on a platform and was checking to make sure everyone's hands were locked tight. I told the girl not to fall backwards until I told her to and she didn't listen. She fell on top of my head and broke 2 vertibrae in my neck. Spent the summer in traction. The neurosurgeon told me that was the end of my phys ed major and the rest is history. Worked out for the best. I decided that I really didn't like teaching anyway. Hope all is going well with you. Mom will be in the hospital 3 days and then can go right to a nursing home. This way the doctor is the bad guy instead of my brother, sister in law and me. Everything works out for the best I guess!! :0)
Sorry about getting the "Ant Song" stuck in your head at 3 AM!!! (Yikes- didn't mean to do that ..esp. at 3 o'clock in the morning!!!) Hope the little siren is shut off and will remain that way till the next time the grand kids come over to play! Also hope you were able to squeeze in a nap after your restless evening! :-)
Hi Paula, just now noticed I had messages from you and a 100 other people on my page. So wound up with the site, I forget to look everyday. Best way to send your address to me is do the personal message on my page. That way only me reads it. I will send you mine also. I would like very much to keep in touch with the snail mail also. I think about you all the time and everything you have went through. It helps to talk to someone now and then to get things off your cheast. Sorry it took me this long to get back to you. To many irons in the fire. Take care my friend.
Hi Paula, good to hear from you. It's been a long day here too. Left at 6:30 a.m. for a CPA meeting, had to shovel snow at our Wasington house since no one lives there it was really deep. With John not able to shovel because of his shoulder surgery two weeks ago tomorrow it was up to me. Finally John said *stop* that's enough. I was sure glad to hear those words. I went to Kalona and picked up a sewing machine to repair and two more in Washington, then to Fairfield and got four more from there. So, John will be getting doing repairs tomorrow for sure. We're scheduled to be at CR Quilts on Saturday and she has 13 more scheduled for that day! There is no way he can do that many in a day--even with a good shoulder!
John's brother who died of cancer was Lee when he was 12. We "celebrated" (if you can call it that!!) our first year of marriage the same weekend of his funeral. He was my little brother too. Loved that little guy. Still miss him even after 41 years!
We need to get together....and catch up with one another!
Paula, I love your comments about cancer. So well written isn't it. I've lost so many family members and friends to cancer, I'm always glad to hear the good stories about those who have been able to beat it. My dad faught a strong battle and lived longer than expected with his colon cancer, but we miss him so much and it's been over 12 years. We never forget those we love. Same goes for John's mother, his brother who felt like mine too. My grandfather, and a dear girlfiiend, and the list goes on!!!! Thanks for this reminder friend.
Paula I love the biggest loser, it is so motivating for me and I am so surprised at the different in looks some of them become after losing hundreds of pounds. I cannot imagine weighing over 500 pounds, that must be miserable. I do hope the white team get to stay on the ranch and lose weight together. I didn't see the end last night so I missed most of the show.I hate that too. I was over to my moms taking in wood for her with my youngest son that came over there. Got to take care of mom now. My sister and brother don't seem to be concerned. If they are they have a pour way of showing it. Siblings what would you do without them. Life would be dull.
Hi again, I cancelled the dentist for today, was not going there in this weather. I go next week though. Actually I go to Aspen Dental first to see if they are cheaper on the dentures. If not I will stay with my dentist and then barter with him on my share. If he will. If not then I will return to Aspen Dental. They say they are reasonable and you can make payments. At least I will have my teeth for a week longer. WOW
Hey Paula - all is fine - just busy I guess! I sure haven't forgotten you guys - just haven't taken time to post. Travis is doing alright. I think the deployment is getting long for him - especially with no "action". They get geared up for that so much I think with their training and such, then when it's just routine patrols and guard duty, they're bored. I'm glad they're bored! Natalie's Brandan gets leave in March. They're taking a trip to AZ & CA - part vacation, part to visit his family. His grandpa passed away a couple of weeks ago and Brandan had lived with those grandparents for middle school and part of high school, so it's tough on him. Anyway, I've been getting some quilting doen - busy time at ork tho with year end. Thanks for checking on me!
