Hi susan, thanks for your recommendation, i have used a soft childs pint brush to de fuzz, i think i will take it in for an overhaul, if i worked as hard as the machine, i would need a regular overhaul...smile. hope you are feeling a little better each day, if you look back 2 weeks what you felt like and how you feel today, thats when you will see the difference. Well easter is almost here, i do like Easter and its centiment. I heard today that cadburys chocolate are refusing to put Easter Egg on their packaging, in fear of upsetting non christians, how terrible is that. Everyone i know is bouycotting anything cadbury made, hope this little act will have some impact. Going to our grandsons birthday family party on Saturday eve he will be9yr old,but such a bright child, i feel i need my encyclopedia in my bag...smile
Hello Susan, i was wondering how you are getting along with your recovery. It will certainly take time, and thats the frustrating thing to cope with. Hope the awful feeling of nausia has gone for good. I do hope you r able to continue to improve, you know what to do to aid your recovery, just do them and in time you will realise how much better you begin to feel.chin up. ttfn Maianne
Great to hear from you. I am sorry to hear of the difficulty you are having. Have the medics given you a time frame. Yes it would be lovely to met if you come over to UK. Have you been here in the past, its very different to Florida. Are you still there. I have been to NADFAS today its a Fine Arts meeting, we usually have a great lecture and today it was about Bes of Hardwick, so interesting. Are you on skype?
I must apologise if I didnt rely to your last email, I think it may have got lost in the aftermath of the festive season. However, I would like to wish you and your family all the very best of everything for 2016, and pray its going to be a good one for us all. I have to say, my voice and vocal chords are so much better, everyone says I am back to normal, but I know I am not quite there yet. I am continuing to do the excercise, but I was told there is no guarantee of getting back to where I was with volume. I am just so happy I am in the position I am, God is good. Yes I have been busy and have a little success with my embroidery machine. I have just finished a cushion for a friend its their 50th wedding anniversary so did a congratulations on the back, it looks good too. They have invited family and friends to Afternoon Tea at Guisborough Hall tomorrow, so that will be , they are a lovely couple but have not had an easy path over the past few years, they are such an inspirational pair though.
The family are all wall, Simon and his family went skiing to France over the holidays, they all enjoyed it too, it made me feel as though I wanted to join them, but I am not going to tempt fate, I did love skiing though. We have not planned our holidays yet for this year, I think we had such a busy one last year, I couldnt face any decisions, but will have to put our mind to booking something though. What do you do for holidays, have you anything planned this year?
Hello susan, how r u, i have not heard from you for a while. We have had a very very busy year lots of davids rellies from australia, it all came at the wrong time, we could not refuse hospitality, but i really was not up to visitors, i just pushed myself, dont like people to know, then went to germany to meet up with my sister who lives in bavaria and my other sister also flew in from australia so had a great time, then my sister came back to uk with me for 2 weeks before flying back to brisbane, australia. David and i are off to france on wednesday to recharge our batteries. I did enjoy having them all, but it was a little too much at the moment. Throat going along well, getting stronger with the therapy. I look forward to hearing your news when you have time. Ttfn marianne
Hi susan, how wonderful you could c the Tour de France, yes i may go to Harrogate tomorrow about 55 mins from here. I have never heard of your condition, what is it like? It would be nice if you come over, we could meet up. We are going to france last week in september for 2/3 weeks have not booked it yet, wanted to c how my throat was, but must get on with the booking though. I am sure you have told me where you r in the world, but cannot remember, is it vermont? I have been watching the process of the renewing and rebuilding the london underground, it goes right under the Thames, what a project, if you get a chance to c it, its quite amazing. Another 4 yrs before its open.
Have you heard of the soroptimists, i am a member of our branch here in yorkshire.
Good morning susan, thank you for the mail, well things dont seem to be improving. I went to the consultant he put a tube up my nose and down into my throat with a camera/light on to see exactly what was going on. He said there is a sort of scab where they have scratched the vocal cord, that sometimes heals in time, or, he could operate, remove it, but then scar tissue will form and it would be more solid and my voice could be worse. Its very depressing and tiring too. I went for my check up last week for the main op and the senior nurse explained more about what happened during the op with my throat. There is 2 ways to anethitise a patient, if its a small operation they put a tube down a short way with a mask, but if a longer op the tube goes further down, apparently they used the short one and during the op had to change it to the longer one, so there would have been an urgency, that is when the scratching occurred. I feel it has been a mistake, but they all cover For each other. Sorry for this long post but its the only way i could let you know the whole story. I am a very positive, non complaining person, who has always enjoyed good health, this has been such a big Blow to me, i have not been able to concentrate on sewing although i want to. Well enough of my moans, how are you? We have had some beautiful weather and the tour de france has lifted the area, did you see it on tv, it is the area where i live. Bye for now, love to hear from you and thank you for your concern.
How are you, I have not seen you online for an age. Lots seems to have happened, life is always so busy. I have been in hospital, but all is sorted, just my throat, they think the vocal cord may be damaged due to the pipework during the op, seeing a consultant on Monday, more later. Hope you are well, look forward to hearing from you. ttfn Marianne
Susan, I'm originally from Maine and lived there for over 54 years. I moved to NY after a divorce, I have family here, and now going with my hubby to VT. I'm excited about this move. We have found a house and bought it, smaller than what we have, but wanted to downsize. I'm very excited about this. My children live in Maine and know I will be a few hours closer to them so I can see them more often. Things are moving right along.
