Settings are working, thanks again. Just finished teaching a beginning quilting class tonight, tomorrow laundry and then start thinking about preparations for camping. We're heading to the beautiful Wallowa Mountains area in NW Oregon next week. Am sooooo looking forward to that!
Yeah I know I have to get some pictures posted. Been lazy uh, busy. The good news is I found my sewing room. Haven't been in it in months except to make a sun dress for my DGD last week. There it was, right where I left it under all that "stuff" LOL.
Thanks for the info on the techniques group. I will check it out. I'm a little out of my league learning this group. After the first day I changed to no mail as my mailbox was getting too much. I looked for a "digest" option but didn't find it. I'll just have to remember to keep checking in. I haven't had time to just click my way around yet, lots of summer activities going on!
I love your description, "tired buttons"! LOL That's perfect! That's how I feel too... hoping my energy level will decide to increase soon. I've been overly zapped lately. Oh well, I can still do many things for which I am thankful.
I love that you are on the TP and T4T groups now too. I appreciate your sharing.
Gloria, that was not thread painting that you saw. Those all are done from an awesome embroidery machine so I cant take the majority of the credit. I just love it although I guess compared to your craft, I cheat!
You don't look WAY too old - I expected to see some aged grandma of 90 by your comment. Michael is 53 and yes, I think he's handsome too. I am truly blessed as he is a big old sweetheart as well. We met in church 10 years ago and have 4 of his and mine but none of our own.
Took a peek at your photos, you have talent! Ive always wanted to try art quilts, and photo quilts, you know how it is. Ive only been blogging on another site trying to win free fabric. Blogging takes up so much time! Speaking of which, I need to see if there is anything I can scratch off of my big ole UFO list!
Thanks Gloria. I haven't even learned how to post my photo. I have had guests and that has been fun. I had to made the big effort...so the sewing room got a good clean up and I haven't been sewing for about a week. They have left so tomorrow.....margaret
Thank you Gloria for the compliment on my sewing room. It was once my formal living room but I took it for my sewing room. I think I have a buyer for my house so I will be losing my sewing room. We will be moving to a 2 bedroom retirement apartment and I won't have much space for my sewing room. I have lived in this house for 46 years and hate to leave but it's getting too much to maintain the house and yard so it's best that we downsize. Hope we can chat someday.
Thank you for the kind friendship, Gloria. Was admiring your work yesterday and know I don't have that type of talent but I do love it. How you get the "light" in your work/sunshine or reflection.......it's great!! Anxious to see more. j
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
I have to laugh -- a while back someone mentioned about the variety of things I do and until then I hadn't thought about it. Yep, I do. LOL I enjoy them all. I'm having great fun getting into the art quilts, using my photography as my inspiration for most of it so far. It's so neat to be able to combine two loves like that.
