Laraine: It's nice to put a face with a name. I guess my blonde is showing... I didn't know there was a page two of you lovely CT ladies. I did notice that Plate Mari was here one day and gone the next. DUH! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Maybe it's the cold weather?.......maybe it has strange affect on the brain? Anyway, I never did hear how your trip to Japan went. Didn't you visit one of your kids? I turned over all my card making stuff to my hubby's office people as quilting has now official taken over my life. Now I go to the scrappin store to purchase cards already made. Cheaper than Hallmark and much nicer. Anyway, have a great Sunday, I would say Monday is just around the corner but I think you ladies have a great time at work and everyday at CT sounds like Friday. Your kitty's a cutie. Looks like he's a quilter?
Yes..all black and looks like a panther. He is my oldest. Blue is a gray 'tuxedo'cat and BOB is the newest one to adopt us - he looks like a black bowling ball with flecks of white and legs. I love them all and my DH loves me so he lets me have them (he's allergic to cats). Do you know when the next meeting is of CCQ?
Hi Laraine, I love them too. Usually I hear them and once I saw on trying to eat from my fruit/nut feeder, but he or she was really too big. The day before I got this one on camera, I was walking the pooch and I only saw him flying away, but he was right back after we went by. I probably could have gotten a little closer, but it is my neighbor's property and didn't want to "intrude". Makes me wish I had a zoomier lense on my camera. Did you see the pic of all the wood shavings on the ground? They really go after what they want! Barb
Thanks for the note, I have been at Misawa AFB for 15 years, I work as an Information Specialist (librarian) at the large school on base. Misawa is my home away from home. Montana is my home of record and I travel there each summer so that is how I restock my fabrics! Fabric is expensive over here and also have limited choices. But, if I get to Tokyo, that is another story! Two different areas in Tokyo have fabric galore! But those trip are few and far between! Did just go over MLK holiday weekend to viewed Sumo and the International Quilt show in the Tokyo Dome. Wow are these Japanese women talented with the hand quilting. Puts me to shame! But no worry, I get the job accomplished with my Janome sewing machine! Take care, Marianne
Say your comment to Anne in Maine about wanting to stay in a light house. We were given a night's stay at Heceta Head lighthouse on the Oregon coast for a wedding gift last year. You can't stay in the lighthouse itself because it is still a working light, but you get to stay in the lighthouse keepers house. It's a bed and breakfast with some very fancy food, complete with edible flowers and the like. Beautiful views, and there are lots of quilt shops all down the coast!
