Lovely photos, I'm working on a Dresden plate pattern probably 18inches. Just finish watching the Quilting with Arts on PBS. They make it look easy, and of course I have a empty garage now, the mind is working double time..

Sandy I see you have join a pen ink and water colour course on Crafty, how are you finding it. Was think I might like to take it as I have been doing a bit of pen and ink sketches and yet to try and water colour wash yet? Let me know what you think of the course. Cheers! Ally.

I see you put up a new avatar. Very nice. See, I'm paying attention, well sometimes any way. Hope all is going well for you. So happy to hear Lucy is doing so well. Amazing what can be done for our little ones now. Enjoy her and give her a hug for me. I'm off to spend a couple days with my DD. She's had a hard week and needs a little mom TLC right now. She's a strong young woman and will do well. Off to see Les Miserables with her.

Sandy I'm sure you had a wonderful cuddle with that bundle of JOY. Like you say parents do come in handy sometimes, washing, babysitting etc!! Enjoy.

On a another note wonder how the Fall swap is coming along. We (BJ) and I just have Diana and your photo's to come so BJ. can complete the smilebox. I think Diana is trying tonight she has had computer troubles. Don't panic as I know you have had lots on your mind lately.  Hope you had fun doing it.  Ally.

Hi again Sandy... haven't been around the computer much... still harvesting the garden and greenhouse before Winter sets in... no snow yet... so glad to hear that you are all well...   we just booked tickets to Hawaii for a wedding in January... she's from here and he's from Australia... so a good place to meet for a wedding... so, you're busy making bridesmaids gowns?  I have to finish a quilt for the bride... most of the top is made... take care, Betty

Good idea about celebrating for your age!!  I didn't do the quilting, so I don't have any idea if they are hard or not.  My friend in IL who has done most of my quilting did it for me.  I think she does a wonderful job with her custom quilting.  I just leave it up to her to do whatever she feels will work.  She is never wrong!!!
