Hi Corina, Thank you I am feeling better. Now a sick DH. It has been one thing after another. Yet we will get through all of this, as we always do. Life just keeps moving forward.... thank goodness. As for your question on the baby quilt. Knit fabric I have always found very difficult to use. What popped into my head was maybe line it, each block as you work on each block.... a bit of glue, then afterwards when the block is finished the block should lay flat.... or as you mention too. All I know is I made a little girls bathrope of knit and my gosh.... it was very hard. It curls and you name it. Turned out great...would never do that again though.
The idea is awesome though, I have an 80 year old quilt that my grandma had made with my moms little dresses made into that quilt. Yet it was cotton fabric... and I have this quilt and do not ever wash it. Air breeze it out a few times a year. Anyway,... another idea is use very little of the knit and mix with colors that are of cotten and use only small pieces of the knit. You sure do have a job there. I wish I could be of more help. I think it is going to be very difficult to work with. I think your idea is the best one.... Let me know what your going to do......Hugs Morgan
So nice to hear back from you! Your grandson looks so cute! The mariachi costume is adorable. My husband is Hispanic, and his mother showed me a picture of him about that same age dressed quite similarly for a Cinco de Mayo festival! How wonderful to have a neighbor with a long-arm machine you can use. It would be so much cheaper to do your own, instead of paying someone else like I have to! I am hoping to be more productive over the winter and get a lot of projects done. Where I live in Minnesota, it gets quite cold and often very snowy. I have rheumatoid arthritis and try to stay in out of the cold as much as possible. Please keep in touch and welcome to the group!
Hi! Corina, thanks I have been ill, its a new life type situation for me. Burnt my lungs on household chemicals at my job and I was cleaning after hours for that extra buck, and I ended up so sick, and it has changed my entire life. I am doing better right now. I will though never get better. I am housebound ... and I am here always to chat with. It will take you awhile to get the hang of this site. yet you will figure it all out. You will get so many new ideas... have so many friends. Glad though we have met. Have a great day! Hugs Morgan
