Glad you made it through the storms without damage. How nice that you have a sister nearby to stay with. The feast was a great idea -- enjoy what you've got now and restock after your trip. We had one of those "once in a century" storms last summer which took out so many of the big old trees in the downtown area. We were lucky, but some of my co-workers were without power for a week. In the meantime, enjoy your trip!
Hi Bobbie! I saw on the news last night about the terrible storms that hit Lockport on Friday and was worried about you. I hope you made it through safely and that you have power.
Thanks for the friend invite! I think it would be a lot of fun for us to get together. I haven't met anyone from here in "real time" yet. Woodfield would be a great place to meet.
I'm glad you signed up for the Amish BOTM. Maybe we could meet for coffee one morning.
The quilt retreat is coming up March 23-25. Been busy getting that stuff ready. We still have a couple openings. $170 for the weekend and $40 for Saturday only which includes 3 meals. Breakfast is at 8:00 am. Let me know if you'd be interested.
I dropped off my Bountiful Baskets quilt (#13... hint-hint!) and picket up my first Amish block. Yes, I'm going for another round. Tomorrow I have a Bunco for Breast Cancer fundraising event in Willowbrook, so I won't be at Thimbles. I'll call you later. Andi
Hi Bobbie, I am just getting your message. I am done!! I am so glad to be done, but I am so far behind, or what I consider to be behind, on so much else. Today i plan to finish 12 blocks for a swap over seas, that is due in June or July I think. I have to get my sss again started to day and try to get that mailed off so it want be late or at least not too late. I hate to make people wait on me. Good progress on your Dresdens! I hope all is well with you and yours. I am off to take my son to get his hair cut. then to have a picnic in the park with him and my DD and maybe my DH . Then back to sew again. :-) have a great day!
Let's plan meeting up at Thimbles on Friday, November 4th. I am usually there at 9:30 am. Remind me. Thanks.

Good Morning Bobbie, I'm sorry I missed you on chat. I loved looking at your pictured. You do beautiful work. I love that black table runner with the three flowers on it. Very cute. I love making smaller projects like table runners etc. They work up fairly fast and are so useful. Hope to catch you in chat.
Good morning Bobby, So many thanks for your clear instructions - I have attempted to put a picture on my page, will you confirm you can see it, if not I will have another attempt. Thanks
Good morning Bobby, I dont know how to put them on the site - if you have any tips perhaps you could let me know, I have been a little silly, I have done so many things , gave them as presents and didnt take photos but I do have some I could show you if I know how to do it.
Bobbie, I got the petal pattern in today's mail. I thank you for this and I am going to try to get a few of these cut this weekend. I hope I can since I haven't heard from DGD about baby sitting for DGGS. I really want to finish up 2 projects this weekend and start on my DPs. I am running on borrowed energy and not sure if I will get much accomplished. I ache all over from this arthritis. I think I could use a good massage and a work over from a Chiropractor. It might help. lol
Bobbie it hasn't come yet. I waited for today's mail to check and see of it came today. But I guess I will have to wait for tomorrow's mail. Thanks and I will let you know when I get it.
I wish for the measurements for the DP using the 12 blades and I have the Zimmerman ruler that I used on my previous DP top. I think it looks neater and more color co-ordinated with the fewer petals,
Would love to have coffee... I'm going to see if I can pick up my basket block a day early. So that would be Thursday the 11th. I will talk to Tammy or Jane tomorrow and will let you know. Otherwise, I may miss that weekend's pick up this month.
Hi Bobbie, I'm familiar with Lockport. My first job was in Joliet in the mid-1980s and my husband had lived in that area for several years before I met him. That was where I learned to quilt. We've been in Crystal Lake for 20 years now. Welcome to the hand quilting group! You have some lovely pictures of your own quilts. Thank you for your comment of the vintage tulip blocks. They are all done now (including one made from scratch), but they're waiting to be sashed. One of these days....
