Fantastic! 352-789-4636 I am making a weekend of Jacksonville so will be at the quilt show most of the day.....call me.... a quick hello and a hug and a picture for the group will be wonderful. see ya soon.
Those little girls need you & your DH! Both my DH and I have such great memories of time spent with our grandparents and we were anxious to be the grandparents spending time with "the kids". A few years ago two little girls from the neighborhood started coming by. I hauled out some old toys and and acquired a few more at garage sales, etc. Often another friend - or two - comes with them. I knew their Mom from when she was a baby and we've all lived nearby for "forever". Their maternal grandmother is dead and I've never heard of paternal grandparents. Then two years ago we had a granddaughter born to us. We love grandparenting and are grateful to have these children in our lives. Sounds like you feel the same way!
Now, Terri....you have driven me to tears. Thank you so much for your very kind words. I am at a loss for words. Sharing our values makes us "kindred sisters". I am honored to be your friend.
No, we ate just enough on Thursday and will not eat any more turkey until tomorrow, Sunday. It is like having Thanksgiving all over, again. I also add a couple of dished that I did not make on Thanksgiving. Dh is a personal shopper at Macy's, so he is working loooong hours and little time to eat. I enjoy my meals with him, so I eat very little during the day. No turkey picking from the fridge. Smiles,
Terri, I am going through my old emails and trying to clean up my page. I just read that you called me "a pearl of the great prize." Thanks so much, as I love the sound of that. My BF used to be called a "black pearl" and I have always loved that term of endearment. Now, I have my own term. LOL! I can't wait to call a couple of friends that "know" the 40 year old "story" and tell them that I am called "a pearl of a great prize". I am so tickled. LOL!
Hi Terri! thank you for accepting. I sent you an email about books, patterns etc. But thats not the only reason I sent you a request. Your an inspiration to all to follow your dreams and have your book published and signed!
Hi Terri! I am just reading the emails in detail and I see that I did not give you my address. It is 3150 S Nellis Blvd #2191, Las Vegas, NV 89121. It is listed in the business directory, so there is no problem for me to list it here. Thanks, ever so much!
I would be happy to send the pattern to you it is just a piece of paper with the pattern on,. It is foundation piece or could be paper pieced. I usually do mine on a muslin foundation. There is not words but I'm sure you could figure it out. Right now I'm in Nova Scotia in Canada on my vac. but will send it to you when I get home in Aug. You could go on my page and give me your email, then we can email each other with your address, it is more private that way.OK. Hope by then the Canada Post will be back at work!!! Mailed my swap in Maine when we were passing through.
Terri D, you are so sweet. I will still have my page here, although, I have not updated it in quite a while. I need to work on doing that. It gives me great pleasure in knowing that I inspire you. I love the relationship that we have and would love to keep in touch with your beautiful life style and your wonderful art quilts. If you decide o come back to Las Vegas, I would love to meet for a minute or two. I know how it is when you are traveling and having a busy schedule. Dh works at Macys, on the strip and I can always meet you there....or downtown. Hugs,
I wish I had thought of the sprinklers...not sure I'm completely thrilled with the outcome, but it's almost finished...I spent so much time thinking about the design, that I just had to stop thinking and start sewing (or fusing). Barb
