Well, how was your summer. Beautiful here. Just starting to get back into my sewing. Working on a table runner for my niece who lives in Brooklyn, a quilt for my son and a Block of the month project which I'm two months behind. Had to turn on the heat the other day just to take the chill off the house. I hope fall is just as nice as our summer has been. Happy Sewing.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
What a great time we had in Paducah. Bought quite a few things but didn't go over board. Now I have to get in the sewing mode again. The weather here has been beautiful. It's going to his 90 this week. 20 degrees about normal. To nice to be inside sewing. I think the machine might collect a little dust.
Are you working on anything special.
We are going by bus. It takes about 12 hours. I'm in dire need of a vacation. My husband is in Myrtle Beach golfing with my son and all the nephew's till next Saturday. Now cooking. Been sewing up a storm. Take Care
Hi Kaye, I haven't been on this sight is a long time. I hope all is well with you. What have you been working on. I have been into 1800's fabric. I'm making the Civil War Tribute quilt. Lots of pieces. The weather has been pretty nice here. Winter went by fast. Not much snow. I'm going to the quilt show in Paducha, Ky next month. I can't wait. I need a vacation. I'm been saving every penny I can. It should be a great time. Take Care
Hi Kaye I'm in Middletown, Delaware between Wilmington and Dover. My brother-in-law and his wife just moved to the Penninsula in Millsboro down by you and we were there for Christmas - beautiful. I really like Mares Bear's quilt shop in Lewes - got any tips on any others down there that are good since it looks like we will be getting down that way more often? Charlotte
Hi Kaye, yes, I just printed out the list. It just so happens that I have all my Christmas fabric out as I'm dumping a bunch on ebay. While I was sorting, I took out some I think I'll be using. I had a blast with the halloween swap and I go a bit overboard decorating so I hope I can at least have the top done by then. Didn't do much quilting this weekend - my DH had promised to help me plant all the stuff in the driveway that I was not able to do because of my knee. Just got in and checked my mail before I make dinner. I hope you had a good weekend and I'm looking forward to our partnership as well. Barb
Well good afternoon! Id say we had better get busy then eh? I havent been on reading much, didnt realize the name swap even happened. So we are doing a star and a house for each name then? Should be fun!
Did you ever get your Halloween project completed? I havent seen anyones that was completed yet.
Hi Carol. polkadot, Char, Lynn and all my blogging friends. I haven't been able to do a heck of a lot this summer as my machine had to go to the Janome doctor, and I had a lot of company with the Grandkids. In fact 3 are here now till Labor Day. Two started college and one is in grad school and my friend Phyllis ( we are friends since we were 15 ) moved from Ny to my community. I am so excited. Her DH was a Captain in the FD with my DH and we have a lot of wonderful memories together. Sept is here, kids go back to school and I should get back to my love---my Quilting
well the 4th of July has come and gone. I just can't believe it. I have all this cute stuff to put out and I forgot all about it. The weather here has been iffy. June was cold and wet. The weather just started to turn around. I only ran the air in the house twice this summer.
I finished the blocks on my scrappy pineapple quilt and just trying to put it together. Its been a long hall with summer here I'm busy doing fun outside things plus keeping up with the yard and flowers.
What are you working on? How is your summer going. Take Care
Hi Kaye, Thank you for the complements! I was just about to send an email to Serendipity to tell them how much I liked the store. You beat me to it.
I actually get the handles from Joann when they are on sale or if I have a coupon.
Maybe you would like to join my group? 'Scrap Bags" Check it out.
I am sending you a friend request. Hope to here from you soon!
Well I have been slacking on keeping up with everybody. Where does the time go. The weeks just fly by.
How is the weather? Its raining and cold here in MI but they are calling for the 70's this weekend. Things are starting to bloom.
So what are you working on? I'm all caught up on all my projects and need to start something. I have so much STUFF that I don't know where to start. I was at quilt group last night and Cheryl showed us how to make a bowl out of all cotton clothsline and scrap pieces of fabric. It looks real easy. That might be next for something different. If I was smart I would start on the quilts I need for Christmas but I hate to think about it so early.
