Thanks Cathy for the info - I knew about courte pointe clair - There is one in St-Hubert too if you want and it is easy access - the store is inside the Club tissus - if you want I can let you know there is a show coming next June (it is once every two years) also - I go to Fabricville - but the one downtown and there is a couple of things there - feel free to write to me if you want any info - thanks again
Thank you for wanting to put me on your list. Your quilts are sewwww cute. Love your mitten and teapot ones quilts. I just started quilting and have not actually posted any yet. My quilt has been sent to a lady to do the long arm stitching for me and then i have to put the binding on. I feel guilty not posting any photos. But I will as soon as I get it together. Have yourself a wonderful day!
Hi Cathy! Was looking through the new quilts at TQS the other day and surprise! saw yours. They are so lovely, especially your landscape...and it was fun to "recognize" your work.
Hope you are having a really great day.
Hi Cathy I am looking at your photos now. You have some great quilts. I lik the "daisy" one, I am doing something similiar as well. People can just check your page when they want to view your work. or you can attach a pic to your comment by clicking on the add image icon and upload what you want. this is a baby pic of my granddaughter for example
Hi Cathy ; Glad you joined us , alot of us have taught ourselves & theres nothing wrong with that , because you never stop learning . I started quilting about 40 years ago & I,m still learning things about quilting that I never dreamed of when I first started .
I was looking at your picture & your quilts are lovely
Hi Cathy, so glad you joined Quilting Canadians, You do beautiful work so you've taught yourself well...but one thing with quilting (aside from the fact it is addictive) is that we are all always learning something new and this website is so wonderful for learning more about every aspect of quilting...but especially quilters' friendship! Have a super quilty day, Susan
Cathy, I noticed you posted a note in the hand quilting section under "Books, Patterns, Tools, Batting" on the Discussion page. I would invite you to go to the "Groups" page and join us in the Hand Quilters Group there.
I love your quilts. You must enjoy applique.
Oh your blocks are beautiful and being Canadian has nothing to do with your quilting abilities we are one we are quilters. thats it. Join and add or take advice and feel free to share as you like GLAD YOU JOINED US
Just got home from work, fed the dog and am relaxing reading what everyones up to. So what are you working on? Like most of us, I have a lot of things in the works, but I'm taking a break and making a fabric basket that I saw on a website that was listed on someones comment wall. It looks fun and really easy, not to mention a good way to use up scraps. I'm going to make mine scrappy with every square a differant color. You should check it out.....heres the web......http://ayumills.blogspot.com/2008/05/tutorial-fabric-basket.html . She has other things you can make to and shows you how in a tutorial type fashion. I think it's nice she is willing to share her ideas. So your daughter lives in Arizona....have you ever visited her there? I have never been to Canada, but my husband has when he was young. What is your favorite color? Mine is blue. What kind of sewing machine do you have?Do you have a serger? I don't....I don't think I'd use it enough to have one. It's been so nice weather wise here, but the news says we are in for a change with COLD and possible snow on Sunday. Yuk....Can't wait for spring/summer and warm days. With the last snow storm and wind that went through here back on Christmas... our yard is quite a mess. We lost a tree, and several got damaged. We have lots of yard work ahead but are waiting for warmer days. My sewing machine has been in the shop for over a week as it was making a strange noise. The repair man said it will be about 129.00....I almost passed out. So while I can't sew I've been doing some Cross Stitch which I like to do....I find it relaxing.....Except when you get a KNOT!!! :(
Say....you said you like to cook. Have you ever make "Apple Butter"? I'm looking for a good receipe and info. It's almost 9:00 and I'm beat....so here I shall close....so bye for now.
Hi Cathy.....Welcome to the site. I've been a member of the site since Jan. 1st and have had a great time, met some neat people and love seeing all the wonderful quilts (by the way, your are beautiful) and learning all kinds of tips, answered questions etc. It's been fun....AND....I, like you, are fairly new to computers, about 2 yrs. now, so many things are a learning experience!!
Are you a native to Canada? Whats your weather like right now? Cold/Snow?
Well.....gotta run....have a nice evening.
