hi Again Andrea, I do my embroidery by hand. That is something I want to invest in this year is a embroidery machine. Not a fancy one, one just like you to play around on and do some different things with my quilts. Later tonight I will work on my Brother. Thanks Betty
Hello Andrea; Thanks for the information. Yes mine is the same as yours. I will try the can of air and see if that works and the note card. Right now it sews just fine with the top stitiching. Its the bottom thread that is going every which way and loops and loops. Before it started all this for some reason it locked up. Set off the error and all I was doing is sewing cotton material at the time. I really love this machine, its the best one I have had in my life time. My other one is a Open Arm White which is about 30 yrs old. I can just plain sew with it, no free motion. I am sewing with it now putting quilt tops together. But I sure do miss my brother allot. It does such a fine job on quilting and it is such a quiet and easy to operate machine. Thanks again I will try your suggestions and let you know. Betty
Andrea, my brother is a 6000ii It will sew and do the free motion., First it locked up for no reason at all. Then I cleaned it out really well and then it would sew on top but the whole underside is all in loops and lopps and what ever. I know it is self adjusting on bottom tension and you can do the top. I have no idea whats wrong with it. Thanks for the information. Newton is a little ways from me but not so far I could not drive there. Thanks so much.Andrea Betty
Hey, Andrea...I get over to Altoona once in a while. My dad is 92 and after I take him to his doctor appointment at VA, then I take him on over to Prairie Meadows. The casino is about the only entertainment he is able to enjoy any more...I don't think I've heard of this Quilt Wizard you mentioned. How much does it cost? I've thought EQ6 looks/sounds interesting, but a little too pricey for me...Right now I'm taking a deep breath after all the deadline sewing I finished up for Christmas, but I need to get binding on a baby quilt so I can call that done. Then I think I'm going to make some make-up bags from pre-quilted fabric to start out with my mind still in neutral, then I'm going to finish some tops that have been 'on hold' for a while.
Hey, Andrea...Where in Iowa are you? I have been enjoying reading where everyone is from. I didn't know about the site either until I received the e-mail. I wasn't sure at first I wanted to get on, because this can become a little addicting and take time from my sewing!
Hi, Andrea. Welcome. I joined just this week. I was excited to see that you have a Babylock QMP also. It's still in the box, however, as I am in the process of moving my quilting studio to a larger space in our house. Have you been pleased with your machine? I'll be using mine on a Grace machine Quilting frame.
