I have not taken my quilt out yet. I am so busy with getting ready for the Talent Show. Hope to get it out there this week. Thanks again for all your help. I am so proud of it. I hope to get started on the other grand-daughter's, her birthday is Nov. 2. LaDonna
Thank you for the friend invite. I will see if I can figure it out. I like your pictures and it is exciting that you and your DGD are making a quilt. My DGS made burp cloths for his little brother. DGS wanted to push the "go" button all the time. He would push and then stop when I told him. We had a great time. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
Hi Paullette, I'm sorry I missed you on chat. I was looking at pictures on here and didn't hear the beep. I should have checked the sound before wandering away from the chat room. I hope to chat with you soon.
Paullete.... I am so sorry that I missed you on chat. I need to remember to check there more often. Lesson learned from now on I will check and turn my sound up. Hope to catch you sometime in the near future. Bonnie
Sorry this took so long, I did it as a reply to the email and just noticed it had a do-not-reply address...so here is my response.
Hi Paullette :)
I think that would be great on the back. If you're worried about centering it, you can just put it off center and put your label above or below it, too.
If you want to use it in the front, you can put a little border around the tiger panel to fit the blocks that you're making, in other words, use the tiger panel instead of 4 of the blocks and niggle the size by adding a border around it.
Paullette, I was sorry you left chat tonight. I was looking forward to talking with you. Where did you get all that lushous looking fabric you have laid out on your table. I see you made a pretty quilt out of it. I hope to see you again in chat. Join right in, if there are others chatting.
Sorry to have missed you Paulette , I havent tried to chat today ( Monday ) I was out doing some errands this morning & just got home when another storm hit ( more snow Will it ever end ?) So I,ve spent most of the afternoon quilting .
Thanks Paulette I have never been able to chat in that chatroom & I have been a member of Quilt with us for ages . Hopefully one of these days we will catch each other . Thanks for your kind words about my pics
Good Morning Paulette, Holly is a mix breed of Gordon Setter, Lab and German Shepherd. She looks more like a short haired Irish Setter. She is a very lovable cuddly dog. She is learning fast with obedience training. The biggest pit fall is me having time to work with her. I take a few minutes a day but it's just taking longer to train her. I'm sitting here waiting to go to Bangor. It's a 200 mile round trip from here. My sister has two appointments up there today so we have to leave at 8:30 a.m. I'm concerned about black ice so will have to drive carefully. You have a great day.
Good Morning Paulette, I can understand why you was anxious to get home to Ca from Id. The big difference in the temp. The lowest it has gotten here this winter is 28 below. That was with the wind chill factor. Yesterday we got another 15 inches. But it was light and fluffy which makes it easier to plow/shovel. After taking two trips in the Winter and getting re-routed do to canceled flights, I don't take Winter vacations anymore. I think the worst part was the trip to Fla. and then coming home to the snow after beaching it for two weeks. lol I hope to catch you in chat soon.
Hi Paulette! I enjoyed your post! Sounds like you are a very active individual. I don't have to pedal my bike! But I do exercise by going to Jazzercise class. I love working out with friends to fun tunes! We have an amazing instructor who is well informed and a lot of fun!
The background of 'A Woman of Faith' was painted fabric. The rest of the picture was all done with fabrics and thread. It was from a picture I took of my mom, then enlarged and made the pattern and fused the fabrics down, then did all the stitching.
Hi Paulette, so nice to hear from you. We had a really nice Christmas and New Years Eve. Christmas Eve we went to church. The choir does a cantata and candlelight service and Christmas day we go into Canada to have dinner with my son. After that we come back here for a gift exchange and snacks. New Years Eve I had 3 other couples come in for a dinner party. After they left we watched the ball drop in Times Square. I was glad to be in the comfort of my own home and not among that big crowd in NYC. I got my Christmas decorations down and put away and have been doing some cleaning. This afternoon I plan to work on some alterations that have piled up over the holidays. Hugs ~ Irene
I'm sorry you have been missing me here in QWU. I think the time difference might play a part but I haven't been on allot these past few weeks. (Loaded down with sewing). Perhaps after Christmas we can set up a time to meet on here and have a good chat. Today is my guild Christmas party. I have to be there at 10:00 a.m. It's a pot-luck and I was just looking for a recipe that would be a change for everyone but while looking decided to stop at WalMart and pick up a pizza. By the time I make the casserole and then wait for lunch it will be cold and all dried out having to warm it up again. So I'm taking the less bothersome method. They will have two choices. Take it or leave it. lol Have a Merry Christmas.
I bought a Rowenta a few years ago, it was about $100, so that's not cheap. I always had the problem of the iron spitting on my fabric, so I went with a good one. I think those old Black and Decker ones we used to have were good ones, they didn't spit, but were heavy. I haven't heard anyone lately talk about good irons for good prices.
