I am sure you do have that stitch on your machine. Mine is a Bernina, but this is a utility stitch. It is 4 straight stitches one direction, then 4 stitches the other direction. Makes a nice strong, rather stretchy line of stitches so the stitches don't pop easily when used in mending. I love it on baby quilts because it goes so fast and is very forgiving!!! Don't have to be so accurate as with stitch in the ditch!!
Hi Carol. Thanks for the welcome. It's been awhile since I've been to the site and I can't believe I didn't see the OH group before. I live in Columbus and have been to NQA the last few years. It would be fun to meet up with others in the group.
Carol thank you for your comment on Skeeter and Ginger. They are cute aren't they?? Of course I am partial but they have so much fun together!! They truly love each other. We have gotten so much enjoyment from them and love they ooze it!!! Thanks!!!
Carol do you think the Mexican Restaurant would let me borrow it?? Daffodils, what about Sunflowers. Probably none of those around this time of year!!! Maybe a few easter eggs in the top?? Recon I'll be sitting by myself???? I'm not sure even the angels would sit with me. My guardian angel might take the day off!!!
Hi Carol, I like the backing too on the bargain quilt. It just all worked out perfect. Mrs Pike my quilter called me tonight and she has another one done. I will probably pick it up this wkend. Can't wait to see it.
Hope you and Jim are doing ok, it has warmed up this wk with some sunshine, PTL. You like my hat? Did you see my blog post? It explains the pic. It was a fun day!!! Stay warm up your way!!!
Thanks for tthe comment on my Red, White and Blue Carol. You do not know how happy I am to have that one finsihed. It was a pieced border that just would not go together until I stopped and pinned it one piece at a time. Very happy!
Thanks for your nice comments on my 2 latest quilts. I do hope Nate likes his quilt. He is a super guy and I never know what to do for him. I like the mystery quilt design - think I'll try to do another one this winter.
Thanks for the information, Carol. I love that table runner. Your fabric choices are perfect for this pattern. You know, I think the gift of truly great quilters is being able to envision a project and see which fabrics will make the pattern look truly great and where to put them. I don't have that gift, but I think with practice and learning from everyone here, I might one day get closer to look at a pattern and "see" it in fabrics that will best show it off. This is one I can actually envision in my western fabrics.
