Thanks for your suggestions! Great idea for the pillow. I have been going over little things with them, knowing I had purchased the machine for them. And the one thing I mentioned was being careful with the needle. One of them asked me how I keep my fingers from going under the needle, so I thought it was the perfect time to go over it. They are so funny and such a joy. I'm sure you agree.
Thats so cute about your GD's pillow. That made your day, I bet.
Hi Barbara, I just finished looking at your pics, wonderful , wish I lived closer, Id stop by. :) I was really interested in the ppic of you teaching your granddaughters. I got my 5 year old twin granddaughters ad Janome Hello Kitty machine for christmas and Im really excited about showing them how to sew. Do you have any suggestions, as to what we should start with ? It should be a lot of fun.
Barbara, hope you have a very happy birthday! Another birthday you can rejoice and be glad about. We don't look at it as getting older but one more day that we can enjoy the blessings of the Lord. Hope it is an absolutely marvelous day for you! God bless you today and every day. Love all your items that you have made especially Madie's Nie Nie.
Smilebox - When you click that you want to post your smilebox there is an option to post it to a website or blog. I believe that is the one you want to use. It will bring up a "code" (rather long) that you will want to copy. One the QWU comments to the left of the camera icon there is a chain link type icon (-). That is the one you will click and then you paste the "code" in it. It should bring up your Smilebox when you hit 'Add Comment'. If it only brings up a link and not the picture to start the Smilebox, go back to Smilebox and choose the other posting option. Sorry I can't remember off the top of my head which of the two is the one you want, but this should get you there. Looking forward to seeing yours!
It will be good to stay in and quilt with it getting that hot today. We had that heat when we lived just outside Phoenix.
I am really enjoying Smilebox. I use it for a lot of things. Last Christmas I put together family pictures going back to when my folks were young and up through pictures of them with their great grandchildren. Those were their gifts to everyone. It was really fun to do. A great way to save quilt shows too, etc.
Grab a tall iced tea and have a wonderful day sewing!

Hey Barbara. Well, I had it in my head that I wanted to make a few seasonal runners. I was also looking to join a BOM - I never had and thought it would be fun, and nice to have the fabrics chosen for you. I started looking at the quilt shops online and found the runner, then I searched until I found a shop with the cheapest. With a name like Happiness Is quilting I figured I couldnt go wrong. It's a shop in Tx. I found out that one of the workers there moved to TX from a town very close to where I live now. They've been very nice. Here's a link to take a peek at the runners. http://www.happinessisquilting.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=8&idproduct=7060
Barbara - My SIL asked me last year to make stockings for his family. I didn't get to it because I never really found anything I liked. I love the stockings you made - is there a pattern I can purchase or do you have instructions available. Maybe I can make good on my promise for this year! Your work is beautiful. And yes our quilting talent is a gift from God - to be treasured and used to bless others.
Do you know what price range they are new so this will give some idea what I would be paying for a trade in. I looked on ads. for Baby lock but they didn't have any price list. I guess you have to call them.
