Whoever said that retirement gives you more time to do the things you love to do, never really paid attention to the fact that there is not enough time in a day to do the things that really need to be done.

It's only fitting that Mother Nature has the last laugh on us - snowing right now and about 6-10 inches will fall by Saturday pm.
I have not been on this site for a while. Though I retired, it seems that there are less hours to do the normal daily chores. When was the last time I thoroughly cleaned the house - let me see, when did I have some company? Can't remember.
Anyways, I'm still quilting. I now belong to a local quilt guild, and have volunteered to help out with…

Quilting put into hiatus for now, too hot in my sewing room. I do have an air conditioner in there and can turn it on, but...if I decide to cut fabrics, I have to turn on the bright light so I can see what I'm cutting, then I have to turn on the 1700-watt iron so I can press the pieces, then turn on the Janome Horizon to start sewing, along with my Nook to listen to music. I then have everything running and voila! a short-circuit on the entire half of the…

On Memorial Day, we remember and give thanks to all our fallen members of the Armed forces, may their ultimate sacrifices never be forgotten. And to our men and women who have answered the call to service, may you all be safe from harm, and Thank you for everything you do to bring peace to our world.

I will try to get in here and check in but I don't promise anything. We spent a long time with sickness and my cancer scare. Yes I had Colon Cancer and had to have surgery but no chemo or other treatments. Then we had a fire and lost our garage/storage building, That was a real terror. I am still fighting with the insurance for what is rightfully ours. It is a case of same old, same old. I think I will try to look you up on facebook and see if we can connect. Thinking of you always.
Hi Aida, Hope you won't have a heart attack from getting a note from me, but, I was on the web page and thought that I would check and see how many are still online. lol Well, I really don't think that I will be on here very often but could not pass up the chance to say "Hi!".
Hope your doing well dear friend! Hugs, Joanna
I think that would be great to meet when the weather is better and warmer.
Hi Aida, I live in Rutland, VT. I'm going to White River Junction this morning with hubby for a doctor's appt. which is a little over an hour from here. We should meet up sometime when the weather gets better.
Good morning,
Cold? It's so much better than last winter.....Today on the prairie it is sunny and bright and no wind. Wind is the biggest factor for the cold.
I am now into the sashing and borders of my Christmas quilt...have fallen in love with it as I gain confidence with FM.
Hey, it's winter, pop the quilt out and do some handwork for mini breaks...little steps will get it done. Good luck!
Thank you all! I got the spam cleared out of here.
