About Me
I am a wife, mother of 3 beautiful daughters, 1 step-daughter, 1 step-son and grandmother of 9 wonderful grandchildren; 5 boys and 4 girls. Unfortunately, all the GC live in states that are far away from me so I don't get to see them very often. My passion in life is serving God with all that I am. He has gifted me with the creative ability to sew and that's what I do. I sew and sew and sew. My sewing studio is actually set up in what used to be my formal living room. (Needed the extra space) I am really getting into quilting more on a full time basis using machine quilting and embroidery. So, I hope to be sharing with you some really fun projects in the near future.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, applique, machine quilting, embroidery, crazy quilting, general sewing, gardening

Sunshine Days

Teaching Maddie and Katie to sew; two of my precious granddaughters.

What happened to spring?

Posted on June 23, 2011 at 5:49am 6 Comments

What in the world happened to the spring? Not real sure we had one down here in northwest Florida.  The month of June came in with a heat wave and has never let up.  So HOT and HUMID!!!!  So basically I'm stuck staying inside in the A/C.  So thankful for air conditioning.  If I could meet the person who invented A/C, I would have to do something really special for them.  Maybe make them one of Paula Deen's Banana Split Icecream Cakes.  So yummmmmm!  Anyway, I was going to make a quilt this…

Merry Christmas!

Hi Everyone,

I have to admit, I haven't done much quilting lately.  Been working on small, quick projects to give as gifts.  I will admit though that my New Year's Resolution is to do more quilting.  Get some bigger projects done.  Hope all of you have been enjoying the Christmas Season.  Merry Christmas…

This is just the URL for the trail in western North Carolina. There are quilt trails all through the Appalachian Mountains as well as Ohio.

Since the blog post will only allow me to post one pic at a time, I'm going to upload them in my photos.

Thanks for your suggestions!  Great idea for the pillow. I have been going over little things with them, knowing I had purchased the machine for them. And the one thing I mentioned was being careful with the needle. One of them asked me how I keep my fingers from going under the needle, so I thought it was the perfect time to go over it. They are so funny and such a joy. I'm sure you agree.

Thats so cute about your GD's pillow. That made your day, I bet.

Hi Barbara. I'm going to make some of your cupcake hotpads for Christmas gifts. It'll be fun and I can use up some stash scraps. Thanks for the compliment on the dolphin quilt. It was fun to make.
