Hi Irene, haven't heard from you in a while, so thought I'd check in. Are you having winter yet in Montana? We had a skiff of snow last week, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. It has been on the chilly side, but that is normal for us in November. Actually I'm surprised we haven't had more winter weather. Last year we had a big snowstorm the first weekend in October. I've been working on a couple of tied t-shirt quilts for my kids for Christmas. I have one other quilt I'd like to have done before Christmas, but am not sure it will happen. I'll keep trying. Best wishes, PQ
Irene, thank you for the birthday wishes you sent me in May. I've just gotten back into doing the normal things in life again. I had open heart operation in March and a stroke in April and allot of rehab. Praise the Lord. Life is great and it feels good to sew again. Thanks for thinking about me.
Irene,

I would like to know the meanings of these blocks now that i have read some meanings in The Quilters Apprentice. Like chimney and cornerstones i can see what the pattern is,and because of the meaning if i was making i would be sure to make the darker side not too dark. I think it would be good if a magazine put the name plus the meaning beside a pattern. Love the photos of your family. all the best,Pat
