Where has the time gone?

Well I just finished a quilt top called Elizabeth so now I have 4 quilts that need quilting so I can't start anymore till half of these are quilted. Been gardening alot can't keep up with the weed do you ever? Hummingbirds have been very hungry this yr or there are more I've filled the lg feeders 8 times already.

Just finished the 2009 BOM from the Quilt Show I like how this one turned out just used my scraps and used fabric from CT for the backing great deal using the 50% off fabric, thinking of getting somemore just to have on hand.

This is my 12th finish for this yr. Seeing this top is scrappy I decided to use the 4" cw fabric squares I've been collecting for awhile for the backing so it's a real scrappy quilt.

Just finished this quilt top today thinking for me it's too scrappy, it is 60" square and thinking I might add a border like a tone on tone no pattern to frame it in and make it abit bigger, any suggestions?

Well haven't been sewing for a month as I've had my grandaughter here she had gone home so I made the next bom block from another group and got a pic of them together, just 1 more block and I can get this assembled. I've got 70 blocks done for the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler so that leaves 70 more to go, might make a few later this afternoon

I'm surprised the Dear Jane was harder. When I look at Stars I see so many points!!!
I didn't mark the feathers - used the technique from "Hooked on Feathers". It's fairly easy the way she describes it, not a true feather but it looks fiine. I just practiced on a toy board my daugher has (the ones with the slider across the bottom to erase) while I was on the phone.

Thanks for your comments on my quilt. I've been reading Dear Jane - I knew you'd done it - and now it's competing on the To Do list with Stars for a New Day. Which one was harder? I wish I had more time to sew. My girlfriend retires in the fall and we're thinking of doing Dear Jane together. I've been reading the Dear Jane group on this site and getting some good tips. How did you choose your colors for yours? All at once or as you went? It's a beauty.

I have the patterns for Stars for a New Day BOM but never got around to do it yet. I started downloading the new one for this year too, but here again I can't seem to find enough time. I also love the samplers by Lori Smith. The Second Saturday BOM I am doing is by Lori called Three Sisters....but basically it's the Josephine Sampler colorway. Anyway....I just wanted to let you know I am awe struck by your work! Great Job!

I do believe spring is here - my early crocuses are starting to bloom and my first primrose. I'm not sure why the shop is closing - I did find the owner to be unfriendly though. My girlfriends in Vernon didn't like to go to her store. She changed locations and maybe the rent was too high.
Glad to hear your getting lots of sewing done. I'm going to bind a quilt and then update some photos on my page.
