My friendship group held an all day retreat focusing on Bargello Quilts. Several of the members had completed Bargello projects in the past but most of us were new to Bargello. I found out it looks much more difficult than it actually is. The pointers that helped me the most were measure, measure, measure, press accurately and relax. I love my finished top. It is not as intricate as the ones completed by the experienced members but it something I am proud of. I will move on to a more complicated piece next time. I think having a group of friends that enjoy the same activity really helps. I became involved with my group through our local quilter's guild.
