Quilt With Us

I've made a quilt with a striped border and I want to use the same fabric to make a diagonally striped binding (does that make sense?) but have no idea how to figure out how much fabric I would need or how to cut it. Can anyone help?! Please!

Cut your striped fabric on the bias, use a true 90 degree angled cut and your binding will have a diagonal stripe. As for the amount of fabric you will need, measure the outer dimensions of the quilt and decide how wide a binding you will use and use one of the on-line charts. Just Google "bias binding chart" & pick one. I'm sure your finished quilt will be beautiful. RT in Houston
It looks really cool when you do that on the binding. It gives a whole new look to the fabric you already used in your quilt.
