I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.
We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.
It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.
I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Hi all: just joined this group because I LOVE my furry friends. They each have their own personalities and make me laugh. They are so great to come home to after a stressful day. Here is a pic of each: Mattie is my yorkie who is sitting in bay window soaking up sun, Dillon is the MinPin curled up in the red chair, Mazie is my daughter's rescue doggie who went from timid (a house full of 96 dogs and 1 pot belly pig all on the second floor) to being the most lovingest dog ever. and finally my new baby a 3 month old Min Pin we named Chloe. She is sweet and spoiled.
Yes most people do keep them in a pin but I didn't want her that way so she was brought in the house just like the others. Most people ar amaised when they fund out she sleeps with me and will set down with all the others and eat off of a spoon just like any other dog .
I met a couple out in SD that had wolves, but they kept them out in a pen with a shelter. They also said they were quite tame.
