I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.
We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.
It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.
I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

hello east coast quilters. hope everyone is having a glorious day so far. I'm from long island, as mentioned earlier, we have approximately 6" of snow on the ground now and its coming down quite heavy and hard. good quilting day.
Joining you from Eastern NC, Jacksonville NC to be more specific. Hope to find more quilters I can chat with.
Hi Brenda, I thought you must have passed through Calais before. My grandfather came from PEI. I'm not sure what area. His last name was Cornish.
Yes, Arthur raised havoc with the tree's here. Up rooted tree's and some went through the roofs of a couple of house. It was wild all day yesterday. Many power outages. St. Stephen NB is still with out power.
I agree with you about route 9. I had to travel that road every week for 13 years taking Dad to Bangor for dialysis. My two sisters took him the other two days. I seen every inch of that road under construction but it was well worth it to have all the truck lanes now. I'm still traveling it with my sister taking her for cancer treatment. The past two months I haven't been able to take her due to being ill myself. If your ever coming through here perhaps we could meet up. My phone # is 207-454-2422.
Welcome to East Coast quilters. I live in Calais, Me on the border of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Have you ever entered the States on this border crossing?
Hello Ladies, I live in Eastern Maine. I have been quilting since 2000 but have only made two large (queen size) quilts. Most of my quilting is baby quilts and table runners etc. I have posted pictures on my page. My last project was a zig zag table runner made with a charm pack. I seen the tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Rosemarie, I lived in Hampton Bays, L I in the early sixties and LOVED it there.
I am at the center of NJ along the jersey shore.
