I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Thanks Florence. It's really easy - each block has 4 partial blocks - shaped like a kite with sides to make the square. It's from Bonnie Hunter's book. The full block is huge - 15 inches. I haven't sewn the blocks together, want to wait till I'm done so I can make sure I scatter the fabric evenly.

Now I'll go find your quilt!

Wow Dianne.  that is something else.  Lookds like something you really have to think about while doing it.  Good job.  Do you know how to get to show and tell?  You post just like here.  Go right above where to you type a comment where it says view all.  Click it and it will take you to other things.  Go into Show and Tell.  Mine is on the second page.  Let me know if you have a problem.

Hi Florence - which one is yours??

I don't know how to post to show and tell, so here's mine. It's still in progress. I was going through my stash when I found a bunch of "ugly florals" and I couldn't imagine I bought them!! So, I cut each fat quarter in half and gave them to a girlfriend - with a challenge to make anything but a piece of each must be included. Now I'm liking it, so may need to rename the challenge.

Hi ladies, I'm so glad you joined!
I hope we can get this group going again. Strings are my favorite scraps!
Please post your projects, I'd love to see them and maybe we can get things going again!
