“DIRTY DOZEN” CHALLENGE
This year we are going to focus on TWELVE unfinished projects! Our goal is to get these twelve projects completed and off our UFO list! All you need to do is draw up a list of twelve of your unfinished projects. It can be something as minimal as making a label, sewing the binding on a quilt, or sewing up a BOM block. Maybe you have a quilt top waiting to be machine quilted. Perhaps you have a table runner that is cut out and just waiting to be sewn up! Do you have a stack of quilt patterns that need to be organized? Do you have a box full of scraps that need to be cut down into useable squares or strips? Look on your shelves, in your closets, in your tubs, in your bags, or wherever you hide your UFOs and find those twelve projects you plan to complete this year! Number each of these twelve projects because there’s a TWIST to this year’s challenge. On the first of every month, I will draw a number. The number I draw is the same numbered UFO project you will work on and complete for that month! For instance if I draw out number 4, you need to check what project is listed as your fourth UFO and work on that project for that month. This should be a novel (and fun) way to get some of our pesky UFOs completed!
If you wish to participate, all you need to do is list your twelve UFOs! (HELPFUL HINT: select projects that you can actually complete in a month!)
I will cross out your numbered projects as you get them completed. Please share photos of your UFOs as you complete them. Prizes will be awarded to all who complete their TWELVE UFOs in their designated months! (This challenge discourages you from getting back-logged. Trying to ''make up lost time" by getting 2-3 UFOs done in one month is STRESSFUL and that's not how this challenge works! There's less stress if you follow our challenge: getting ONE project done in the month it is to be completed!)

I like that term-"fantasy list!" After the L-7s, I wonder if I can finish everything! Last year,I did win a prize for finishing UFOs at my quilt guild--I finished 8 and that was more than most!
Well, I really think I NEED to do this challenge but all my UFOs except one are back in Iowa. Awww...too bad, right? I have a Christmas quilt here that needs binding. I brought it to Texas last year because we spend Christmas here now but I didn't even touch it and it was still right where I left it. So, I have a list of 1 and I know that won't cut it. Guess I'm off the hook LOL!!
I'm going to try and get a list together so I can join. Didn't do too well on Lucky 7.
Marcia, I will set this one out, just don't have that many UFO's. Thanks for doing this, you are the grandest...
Checked over my L-7 list. There was only 1 project on the list that I did not get started. Also the sampler quilt may develop into 2 UFO's. As I made one block that is huge and will not fit into the quilt but will make a great pillow! I came up with a list last night off the top of my head I was 1 short, but adding the pillow that will make 12. So I will join with high hopes of getting these all finished.
I will come up with the official list later and before the 5th.
Marcia, I think this is a wonderful idea. I found so many last year that were started but I couldn't use them for the lucky 7's. I did finish five of the l-7's so maybe I might get more done this year. My goal is to get more out of my sewing room and this may be the trick. I also have plenty to spare for anyone who needs some. ha ha. I will get back to you with the list because right now I am supposed to be working.
OK, i will try to do this, since I did START some of my L-7 projects, I probably can keep adding to my list since now they are UFO's :-) and my stack of tops needing to be quilted is large.
will work on getting a list together.
Hi Marcia, as you seen I had a few done off my L7 list but no where done. I think this year I am going to sit out of the challenge and just watch all the ladies put pics of there projects on. With the new little one coming, I must quilt something for her if you know what I mean, plus I need to work on projects for the fairs. I think my time will be limited so I am on the side lines this year. I don't have 12 projects started and not done. You go girls give it your all.
Ok I have my list ready. Most of my UFO's are tops that need quilting - not nearly as many as Lynne though- lol Some of these have been waiting a long time for quilting and most of them are big and I'm kind of obsessed with doing lots of detailed quilting on all of mine so we'll see what I actually get finished.

2. Make hanging sleeve for Ribbons of Hope quilt. (Those sleeves aren't difficult but I just don't like doing them.)
