I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Yolanda, welcome to our little group.. this is a workshop that I held here in our small town. There will be 9 blocks and sashing, cornerstones and borders. This workshop was put together to entice people in town to get into quilting and hopefully join our quilt club. It goes over 9 different techniques. I hope you enjoy it.

Sorry everyone that I had become so lax on getting the blocks posted... I'll try to do better now... I have posted months 6, 7 and 8... I hope everyone that is making this quilt is enjoying all the different techniques. I know the ladies taking my workshop here in town are really liking it...

Hi, we have been gone most of the day, & will be out some tomorrow. When DH has time to get back to these, & has anything to add, I will post. I really don't think these stems will be a big deal anyway, & the rest of the cutting info is there, so we will get it all figured out eventually, right!

The stems are appliqued... when I bring up the templates there is a "scale" button in the top center... if I set that to 170 the templates are the correct size... I'm really sorry... I'm still working with my program trying to find a way to download them to my computer without having to print and then scan them in... The scanning is what messed them up, but I don't know enough to fix it... Maybe set the size on the scanning?? Do you think that might work?? Anyone??

I'm pretty sure I can manage most everything. Except it would be nice to have the diamond shapes figured out for the flower heads. The stems, I think, I would substitute applique if necessary.

Good morning, sunny here & we will warm up a bit today, finally! All of any white stuff left should be gone soon.... Time for some coffee, the pot just quieted, so I know it's ready, yeah!.....
