I will need to get the dates, but thought I'd let everyone know that in the Tri-Cities we have 2 eventful weekends coming up in March.  One weekend is the Spring Antique Show and SEW-Q Quilt Auction on Saturday and then the next weekend, which is weekend of the 19th, is the Tri-Cities Quilt Guild Annual Quilt Show.

It was nice that they had a CD for purchase. last year they had run out and by the time I got home, I decided I didn't need one since I had taken so many pictures...lol. It's a nice experience, but I'm trying to convince my Mom that we need to make it a 2-day one since my feet get so tired walking and standing on the cement floor. OH, I haven't been to too many other quilt shows, but the one thing that we both love about this one is the harpist! The man and his wife are right by the featured quilter at the beginning of the show, he plays a great selection, and CD's are available for purchase. I have 2 of his already.

Suzanne - you were very smart enlisting the vendors help. Good for you. I"m glad the show was great too. Maybe next year my sister and I can go? That would be fun.

It sounds fun and great that you had help choosing your fabrics!

The show was WONDERFUL! Didn't even take my camera this year because I was hoping for a show CD and they had them for $8. Got lots of inspiration. I told Mom that I had a battle plan this year. I took an applique pattern with me and was looking for batiks and some sort of starter kit for applique thread, since I'm a beginner and don't have colors yet. I checked out the vendors first in the program, circled the most likely-sounding ones, then went to Sew Batik. SInce I didn't want to spend a lot of time looking, I went to the owner, showed him what the pattern, and he took me to the section I should be looking at. Then the coworker came and helped me choose materials - I already know her as a great longarm quilter form Spokane, so I trusted her completely. I told her about the thread and she went to another vendor, brought back what she thought I wanted, and it was perfect!@ Talk about an easy shopping experience! That left me with lots of time to look at quilts - always a plus!!!

Suzanne - How was the show. I wish I could have gone. Is anyone doing the SW Washington Shop Hop that starts on Oct. 22?

Jamee,
Yes most of us are crazy in partisipating on the Western WA shop hop... BUT!! I think you are way ahead of the rest of us---yes I collect each and every year--and yes, they are all still on my shelf waiting to be done!!
