Hello Everyone! This group is for those who like primitive, not necessarily country, quilting and handwork. It is my hope that we can encourage one another in our endevours as well as swap patterns. Drop in and tell everyone what you are working on that is primitive!

I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

A few more WIP's for me...I have really been trying to sew everyday this month for National Sewing Month.

Nice blocks Colleen.  I am in charge of my guild's bazaar that is part of our annual quilt show in 2 weeks so I have been up to my eyeballs with that.  Everything has now been inventoried and priced so I hope to get back to finishing my little primitive wool wallhanging soon.

Hey all, sorry so slow on here.  I have been sewing but not too much prim going on in my sewing space.

Here are some pics of what's new in my sewing world.

Welcome to Soccer Mom of 2!  This is a quiet group but sometimes there are great pictures with the posts.  We are all really busy folks and I bet you are too.

Hello To All!  I'm so sorry for all of your losses - losing a loved one is so hard.  I lost my SIL last year to cervical cancer - she was the sweetest, dearest thing.  I hate to see anyone suffer.

I've been MIA with this group for some time so need to catch up on old posts.  I, like some of you, LOVE wool!!  And yes, at least here in Ohio, the price of wool is going sky-high!  I found a place about 45 min from my house that sells you only what you need!  You take the piece to the counter and they tear off what you want and sell it by the ounce.  Does anyone know what a good price by the ounce is???

Greetings to all and Happy Stitching!

I had to bring my daughter & her 2 boys to the airport in St. Louis so I decided to visit 2 quilt shops while I was there.  One of the stores had this really cute little wool felt table topper on display so I decided to buy a kit & make one for myself. Well, now I know why I don't really like to buy kits - one piece was cut at least an inch too small and there were 2 other pieces missing completely.  I'm going to contact the store on Monday about this.  Fortunately I will still be able to make it work, but I just hope I wasn't charged for fabric I didn't get.  Since it is about 150 miles to that store I can't take it back for a refund.

Colorado, so sorry for your losses. We lost Cindy April 16th It was 1 yr & 6 days from the time we were told she had leukemia. How long did your 20 yr old live with leukemia. I knew nothing about leukemia till Cindy got sick. It is truly one of the worst cancers you can get. It is so silent. She looked so good but her insides were being eaten alive. I am thankful she didn't suffer for very long. My thoughts & prayers go out to you for your losses.
