I have lived just outside of Kamloops BC for the past 5 years. Before that I lived in Victoria BC. I still have friends there and my daughter and grandaughter live in Duncan. I love to do most crafts but quilting in particular. As I work full time, time is limited. I have been quilting for about 12 years but still consider myself a beginner.

Hi, I am Edith. I live in Cobourg, Ontario on the North Shore of Lake Ontario about 1 hour out of Toronto. I have been quilting for approx 32 years (did I say that OMG) LOL Still have this crazy idea that I can't be old enough to do anything for that long.
Anyway, I semi-retired in July 08, so have been able to get more done. but that may change when I decide to go back to work, hopefully it won't be something as demanding as what I had been doing.
I have a brother who lives in Cowichan, so I get out occasionally to see him, as well as I am only a hop, skip and jump away from Anne. I am really glad to see this group started, I was only yesterday comtemplating starting a Canadian group.

Hi, My name is Anne. I live in Peterborough, Ontario. I have been quilting for 8 years. I inherited 7 of my grandmothers quilts which were made in the 30's with the original fabrics of the feed sacks,,,,so I have developed a love (and a huge stash!) of 30's reproduction fabrics. I work full time in a busy Dr. office and find myself driving to work every day, thinking "if only I could just stay home today and work on my quilt"!! I have been to Victoria many times, as my dad lived there, in the James Bay area. Sadly, he is gone now, so my trips west had stopped. Now we have a son who lives in Chilliwack/Vancouver, so my trips have resumed. What a wonderful area for quilt shops!! I'm happy to meet all of you and glad that this site has been started!

Janet I've never been to Salt Spring, my both sons and gd live in Victoria, actually the younger son is doing his navy training in Esquimalt. I usually get to Victoria in the summer to pick-up grandaughter for a month. Hope we get more canadians joining.

I'd love to meet other Canadians who love to quilt. I really appreciate that Connecting Threads ships their orders from Canada so we don't get hit with Custom's/duty costs :).

I live on Salt Spring Island, a smallish island between Vancouver Island & the BC mainland. Where do you live?
