Some of us are making the Year at a Glance Quilt in the original size and others are sizing it down to a wall hanging. Our goal is to make at least 2 blocks a month so we can put it all together and get it quilted in time to display it in January.

When you post pictures of your project on your page if you want them to be displayed in the album make sure you put in the tag YEAR!

1. No purchase necessary
2. Timeframe: this is an ongoing group with no defined end time.
3. If you are not a member of our Quilt with Us Community yet, click the "Signup and Join" box in the upper-right corner. Once you're a member, you will see a green plus sign and a link to "Join Year at a Glance" in the upper-right of the group page. Clicking on the link will allow you to join this Quilt Along.
4. Post questions, project feedback, and pictures of your progress.
5. Cheer on your fellow quilters as you go!

I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Hi Linda, Thank you!   I reduced my pattern to an 8 x 10  and my little borders are 2.5 inches wide.  I am glad I did mine separately because this wall hanging is big.  This was a really fun project.

Froggie - love your placemats.  Such happy colors and the uneven strips are just right for me since mine always come out uneven anyway.

Kara - that is so cute.  Maybe I can start for 2012 and be caught up.  Ha.  It's already Feb. and I haven't done Jan.  Kara - are you doing yours full size - that is, not reducing the patterns?

You should take a close up of the ants, they are too cute. Way to go Judy! I guess this means I better get going and get my squares together.

Tah Dah! I added seed bead ants to July and ribbons to my kite after it was quilted. Finished and ready to hang! I think I am going to hang it in my sewing room so I can enjoy it there. It feels so good to have it done!! I'll be watching your progress!
