Quilt With Us

NO SEW Progressive Swap

NO SEW Progressive Swap

Want to get involved in a swap but you have no time to sew right now?  This might be the group for you!

All you have to do is pay for postage for a small box of supplies to be sent to he next person on the list.

What's in the box?? - well it could be anything related to quilting/sewing:  a fat quarter, a tool, needles, marking pencils, stencil, embellishments, patterns etc.

You can take any item (or one or two, or even all of them) out of the box and keep it as long as you replace it with another item(s) of comparable value.  Then send it to the next person on the list within a week of receiving it.

I will fill the first box and forward it to the first person on the list - which I have already started:

Diane Dugan

LInda H

Terri D

Diana Bracy

Diane Dugan

Denise Shroth

Barbara Blackwell

Lisa F

Angela Justus

Katrina Alanko

Laura Mars

I can add names at any time - it just might take a little while to reach the people on the bottom of the list.

I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Well hello BB! Fancy seeing you here. :-)  I, too, had forgotten all about the box, but had not seen any other postings about it. Wonder what happened to it?

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.

2 years later.... did the box ever get anywhere or is it lost in space??  I'd forgotten about this group until I decided to clean up my notifications etc in my emails.

hi everyone I was just wondering what is going on.. does anyone know where the box is.. I  was so hoping to get it before I go into the hospital on april 10th. well if it isn't here by the 9th of april and comes after that the next person will have to wait till I get out of the rehab hospital after my surgery.

I see no one has been in here in awhile and no one has let me know where the box is.. I hope someone can tell me something.

Just quick pop-in. Diane, sorry to hear about your mom, prayers out to you and yours. My DH tests came back negative for acute leukemia but could still have chronic leukemia (slower moving and treatable). For time being we have to keep eye on levels and do follow ups. Still possibility that the elevated levels have more to do with the atopic dermatitis he brought back from Vietnam than anything else. I'm slowing recovering from a double cervical fusion I had done on Friday - 2/21 - so not doing a whole lot at the moment.

Just wanted to pop in and say howdy; however, I will not be doing the swap at this period in time.

Help everyone - the people with the boxes are ready to send them on - I am very tied up with my mother who has been in the hospital the last 2 months so I am asking you to help me out by sending your addresses to the appropriate people : Diana Bracy : Quiltdragon needs your address and
Lisa F : Denise Shroth needs your address
