This is wonderful, wish I could hand quilt, but have arthritis is both hands so can't seem to do too much hand work. I noticed you made reference to our threadpainting. For me it is natural, as I have been a machine quilter for quite some time. One thing I can say, for me it is just machine applique with the darning foot on and the feeddogs down. I always slow my machine to a creeping speed, and wear gloves with rubber fingers. One thing to remember is that you move the fabric side to side and front to back.
