About Me
I've been married for 53 years to my hubby. He is a retired city administrator who now keeps busy sub-teaching. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren ages 19, 18, 15, and 3+. They are the joy of my life. I love quilting but work mostly on smaller projects. I'm not a very confident quilter but I love working at it.

The pattern is in the Quiltmaker July/August 2010 magazine. It says it is a variation of the Double Windmill block. I hope this helps. Thanks!

Here's the link to the Mariner's Compass I used.


I had to do one quarter of it five times before I managed to get the colors in the right position. I am not a paper-piecer and this taught me why!

I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you.  I did find the patterns on the online website.  I seldom buy patterns through a store as you can usually get them online much cheaper.  They also have sales where you can save even more.
