About Me
I have been quilting for over 30 years. I do a lot of machine piecing, prefer to quilt by hand, although lately I have been quilting on my domestic machine more just to get things finished. Many of my quilts are bed size (queen and king) so it takes awhile to get them quilted. I have begun making some smaller items, table runners, and wall hangings because they do take less time to complete.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, applique, paper piecing, hand quilting
My pets are awesome!
We are owned by two cats.

In the bleakness of winter, I look forward to spring

I have another pattern that has just been published in a magazine.

"May Baskets" is a tribute to many of my favorite spring flowers, and a memory of sharing them with friends and neighbors on the first day of May.

The pattern for the table runner has been published in the February 2019 issue of The Quilt Pattern Magazine.…

Hi Cat Lady,

My Hubby had some heart surgery as well recently.  He had a pacemaker installed and had a valve replaced with a bovine valve.  He just sailed through the 2 procedures and we were very thankful.  I hope that your Hubby did well too.  I quilt some every day - but not as much as I used to.

Thanks.  30 years the end of this month.  Thought I should give credit to the one who's put up with me all those years.  :)

I love the Roman Stripe pattern, too.  If I were going to hand quilt it, I wouldn't like it to be foundation pieced, as this one was.  I think I'd just sew strips and deal with the bias edges.  They'd be paired with the straight of grain triangle piece next to it, so I don't think it would be a problem.  I would like to make a grown-up version with truer rainbow colors for our bed. Another bucket-list quilt. (sigh).  :)
