I live in central Iowa, not far from Des Moines. I am recently retired. We have 3 children, and 2 grandsons, 7 & 10 years. I love to sew, quilt, flower gardening, reading, woodworking--anything creative. I hope to get back to doing stained glass now that I have more time. Now that I'm not working, I miss being with people all day. I'd love to have someone to show my projects to when I finish and to see what they're doing. Maybe this will inspire me to get at those stacks and stacks of fabrics and projects! I wish I'd taken photos of some of my earlier quilts & projects.

Edy-Haven't heard from you in a while. Don't know if we've been online at different times or maybe I've got a touch of Alzheimer's also!! There are days..... Anyway, hope you are doing well and tell me what you've been up to and what you've been working on!
thanks for your comments on Mom's quilts. She had so much fun doing those wallhangings. There are more, I just need to find them and take some pics. She passed away a week before Christmas in 2002 from acute leukemia. She was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2001, went through chemo and was pronounced cancer free up until a week before she passed away. We got the diagnosis of acute leukemia an hour after she passed away.
Edy, I am sure your idea will work no problem. You can just do so many things in quilting. This year instead of making something for everyone in the group, one of the girls decided we should do a 16 inch finished block and then either pick names or numbers or whatever and everyone who does a square would get a square back. I think it will be neat. Not sure what I am going to do for a square but I have some ideas. I would like to get at it now so I don't have to rush on Dec. 1 (ha - procrastinator I am!!! especially when I am not sure about something). Have a great day. It is snowing here this a.m. It was suppose to be isolated flurries and sun by now but I think the isolated flurries may have turned into a snow storm. We shall see. Good excuse to quilt anyway.
