Actually we have 3 dogs and 5 cats between us. 2 other teachers and I (supposedly the retired one ...who is working til June in a Resource room..!!) bought a house on an acre together. We overlook the Skagit Valley above, and kind of across the valley from, the costco. We have LOTS of bird feeders to bring in many birdies. We've gotten some great pics of the birds at our feeders.

I spent too much time on this this morning. I found the free patterns and copied 6. Maybe I already told you that. Cut a square for Kim's quilt after I got the other one quilted. Mom

HI, Helen Hartgrove says that she has made a tumbling block quilt for babies. Maybe you could get a pattern from her.

Thanks Eileen for the post. I am using the Minkee in a 1/2 square triangle pattern, so we'll see, wish me luck.

HI...I made my grandson a Raggedy Brick quilt. It was so different from making the other ones. It turned out great. I took it to the laundry mat to wash, because I didn't want all the mess in my machine. The cuts were 12 1/2" by 6 1/2 " and 61/2" by 6 1/2" . David really like it and says that it doesn't tickle his nose when he sleeps. I want to learn to do more creative quilts, but haven't had the nerve to try. I'm going to a quilt show in Puyallup the end of this month. Hopefully, I'll meet some of the gals from Connecting Treads and can get pointers. I'm also going to take a free motion class in a week....Sharon

Hi Eileen, Sounds like you are cancer free and that is GREAT. I had a friend who had breat cancer and is now cancer free. I made her a small quilt to have when she wanted to rest. I've been quilting almost 3 yrs and have made many quilts (all sizes) and many other things. I working on a lapthrow for my son now. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I live in Woodinville and have found other quilters on here in Bothell, Bellevue and Seattle. I'd like to add you to my list also.
