Thank you. I had a great day with many activities one of which was a visit to a quilt shop that I had never been to before.  Of course, I found some material I could not live without. :)

What a nice surprise to see a birthday wish in my email this morning.  It is a momentous birthday, but I am not retiring yet.  I play with my fabric and make plans for the day I have time to sew all day.

Thanks Elaine,

A few more years before I can retire but looking forward to days spent in my sewing room.  Best wished to you.

Elaine, sorry you didn't stop in as we were all down there and I was down there until about 5 that day as I had to clean up the Seniors kitchen after it was all over. I looked for you during the day. Too bad you hadn't stopped in and stayed over that night with us. Where did you overnight it that night? Did you go all the way to Sault Ste. Marie. I told all the girls that I was waiting for you and they were anxious to meet you as well. Oh well, maybe next time. Glad you had a great trip.

Elaine, when do you plan to be in Marathon? There is a quilt show this weekend here. Fri. 1 - 4 and Sat 11-3. I will be there likely both days. You can call me 807-229-0306. My DH will be home even if I am down at the Lakeview Community Centre at the quilt show.

Yes, I was disappointed in the quilt shops in Halifax too. If you ever get to PEI there are a couple over there though and the staff is wonderful too. Definitely if you come by here, please give me a shout. If you don't want to come in, we can meet you on the highway but if you have time to stop and have time to stay over for a day or two or three, we have lots of room. We have three bedrooms and we only use 1. Just keep us in mind. It is a beautiful trip along the north shore of Lake Superior between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay, especially if you have never travelled this way before.
