Good Sat. morning everyone. as predicted, we recieved our 6 inches of snow. So I'm glad I got all the shopping done this week since I live in a small town, we have to travel out of town to shop. DH is out snow blowing & the plows just came. The wind is blowing good , so we will be drifted in again. Oh the joys of the snow belt. Fine with me, I have every thing I need & will enjoy the day quilting. Everyone enjoy your week end.

The Princeton Show is March 21-22; I will probably try to go on the 21st. I have always enjoyed their shows in the past and it gives me a chance to see some people that I don't see as often any more. If you decide to come to the show, let me know and we'll try to arrange a meeting. It is held at the Fairgrounds on the west side of town on Route 6. Went to grandson Caleb's music concert last night; the rain was horrible driving in with all the ditches full and overflowing. He plays French horn and is having a blast; they have contest this weekend I think and are sounding quite good for first year band students. Better run, need to get a few hairs trimmed so I don't need my dog license while I'm gone.

HI - hope you all had a great weekend and really enjoyed the show. I am up to ears in projects right now, but leaving on Tuesday for classes next week, a quilt show, and then off to Indiana for the following week to help my daughter sort and get ready for a move. Hope you and Sue can make the Princeton show; I am not sure I have met Sue but know that she has done some patterns for Quilter's Garden in Princeton that I have loved. It would be fun to meet up in Princeton if possible. Later --

Mother Nature doesn't seem to be cooperating very well this week; I hope you are able to get to Rockford for your concert and evening out safely and back home. Any chance you would be attending the Princeton IL Quilt show March 21-22? It is at the fairgrounds.

My goodness you must be overwhelmed with being back to work - haven't seen or heard from you in a month. Hope you are okay. Just wanted to say hi and see what you were up to.

Were you able to get the quilting done? We ended up having our granddaughter Sunday afternoon so I didn't get anything done in the studio, but that's okay. Spent today working with guild ladies cutting kits for love quilts. Plan to get the back of a QOV quilt stitched to the leaders tonight and ready to load and quilt tomorrow.

Hi Georgie - glad to hear you are doing well and have gotten some quilts done. I do know what you mean about not getting as much done when the weather is nice; I too like to spend some time in my garden plus I also have some demands on my time from my nephew to help out at quilt shows on occasion demonstrating the machines - now that is such a chore LOL. The QOV top I did yesterday was a little less than a twin I think but I did a very simple meander over the center and a couple of rows of terry twists in squares with a double teardrop w/a swirl in the borders and got it done in a day. The other one I did earlier was a bit more involved as it had outlining of parade figures and boxes plus it had several "border" areas that had different things; I spent a couple of days on that. Part of it also depends on how much I get interrupted during the process. I could probably have done that one in a day except for the interruptions plus I had a little challenge on some of the outlining - rippit, rippit!! There are a lot of machines out there and some very good used ones also, especially the Noltings, which are more reasonable in price; it makes a difference too in the frame you get and how big a quilt you want to be able to do. Go to Doug's web site www.cousinsquilting.com and he has pictures and information there about Noltings; and he is close to you, you could always go see what he has used available if you get serious. It is quite fun!!
