What a nice feeling!! Just finished taking down the decorations, and turning the guest bedroom back into a sewing room. Sat down and did some sewing - sooooooooo relaxing. I'm working on one of the Bella Bella paper pieced quilts. Pretty challenging as I'm rather new to paper piecing. Must get my thank you notes done so I can continue sewing "guilt free".

I was just watching your slideshow of quilts. Absolutely beautiful. I can tell now that I am not going to be doing cleaning and cooking because I am glued to the computer. This site and the people on it are a joy. Betty in TN

My quilts are already quilted on the construction lines when the top is finished. Can a quilt like that have additional quilting added using a long arm machine? I know the machines are set up to feed the layers separately, can they also feed a partially quilted piece?

how do you like paper piecing? I love it! Its so precise and my projects look so nice when they are done. I just bought the bella bella book and foundation paper package. I saw Judy's bella bella quilt and knew I had to have that book. I would love to see your quilt when you have the top done.

Hi Helene, I love your detail perspective quilt - is that a particular block or pattern? I'd love to make something similar.

Thank you for the nice comment about my quilt, Helene! I actually got the pattern from a magazine a few years back. It was submitted by a woman who is an engineer by profession. I remember that because the cutting instructions were way off, and I found that so ironic!!! I had to resize all of the pieces.

You do gorgeous work! I looked at your slideshow and really loved them all -- my favorite was the one with the echo quilting around the animals. Is that adorable baby in another photo a grandchild?
