Has anyone else had their friends list on their page deleted? I had three pages and now I only have 6 people on it.

Hello my "Stitching Friends"

Posted on September 12, 2020 at 3:57am 6 Comments

I'm sitting here like a bump on a log. It's 6 a.m. and I hope I get more ambition then I have right now. I haven't had time this week to work on my quilt. Hope to make some progress on it today. Yesterday I cleaned out the fridge. I found stuff in the freezer that had been there so long that a package of chicken looked like dried Cod. And the pork chops looked the same. I need to go get my meat the day I want to cook it. There are three stores within walking distance so I have no excuse to…

Life in the slow lane

I hope you all are escaping the Covid 19. Here in Calais we haven't had any cases but we wear masks, gloves and stay home as much as we can. I hope this pandemic will blow over soon so we can get our lives back to normal. I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever see normal again. Down State has has quite a few cases but it's more populated and nearer to other States. Our bridge into Canada has been closed for months.

I keep busy. I have a neighbor who needs help with cleaning her…

How are you all managing this Virus.

I'm getting a bit tired of not visiting my neighbors, friends and family. So far only one case in my county. But the threat is always in my mind. I'm making face masks. The quilt I started is taking a back seat for now. Every time I go to the store (which is not a lot) I look like a lab tech. with my mask, rubber gloves and my coat on. I will be glad to shed all three. To keep me occupied when not sewing is watching comedians on the computer. I happened to get one of Foster Brooks the other…

Making the best of it.

This Corona virus is making it's way here. We have a few cases of this down state but so far none here in Calais.  Everything is closed except WM and two grocery stores and gas stations. I'm getting some Spring cleaning done and making progress in the sewing room during this quarantine. I'm praying that we all stay healthy and get through this.

Hi Irene,

If this site does disappear, I would still like to be able to contact you once in awhile. My   email address is     csidesharon@frontier.com

It's nice to be able to see how we are doing and what we are working on. I have treasured the friendships that I had on here and now all gone, but a few that I found in my messages on my home page. It won't let me send a friends invite, so this is the only way for me to connect with you.  Raining here and wish it would rain more on the Eastern side of the mountains. The fires here are either under control or just about.

You have a wonderful day.

Hi Irene,

I texted BJ a few days ago. I find some friends on blogs that they have answered. BJ texted me back and I see that she posted today. I need to get a few friends on my list. So I'm going to be sending a few out. Hope you will be one of them.

Hi Irene,

The smoke is traveling across the Atlantic from the reports that we hear. We've had rain for the past few days and suppose to have a nice day today, but back to rain and temperatures in from the low to mid 60's this week with more rain. That's good for here and hope that it reaches across the whole state and beyond.

I just wonder what the new normal will be when the virus goes away with the climate change. I've always loved living here, but the fires sure make it scary. almost whole towns in WA and OR have been burnt down. I can't imagine how that would be seeing all that ash.

Take care and stay safe.  Also, have fun quilting.   Hugs

Yes, Irene, I'm fine! For some reason my blog post didn't appear on the Main page. Maybe a glitch, or maybe they think my blog isn't "quilty" enough for the main page. I always send out a message to everyone in my friends to remind them of the blog, but I didn't realize you weren't in my friends. I'm applying to you to fix that. Anyway, my blog came out on Monday as scheduled. You can find it here. You can also go to my profile page and find it. It appears on Blogspot as well, outside QWU. If you go here, it's always the first one that appears. (Past posts appear in reverse order.) I'm glad you like my blog well enough to be disappointed not to find it, and thanks for caring enough about me to wonder if I was OK! (I'm glad you're OK, too!)

Hi, Irene!  Sorry I haven't been on here in a long time!  Decided I needed to connect back up and refresh my life with other quilters and saw your comment from back in 2014!!!  Wow, how time flies!  Have been busy, though, with some big quilts, other hobbies and activities.  Age also getting the better of me at times, but working on keeping myself in the best condition I can.  Hope you are in good health and continuing to sew.  I read your story about misplacing your phone.  Had to laugh, but the same thing happens to me all the time!  Take care, Gladys

Happy February 1st, Irene! I'm so sorry to hear about your house. It must be awful as you took care of it all those years and then other people "trash" it. People have no respect for other people's property, it seems. I do hope this other gal takes care of it, and know you probably are anxious to sell it and be done with it. Where is Bud now? I've finally reached the binding part of the Irish Chain Quilt. It came out beautifully. I will post a picture as soon as I'm done and get all the basting threads and markings off it. Also, doing some small projects - table topper for Spring and a little table runner, too. Take care of yourself and keep in touch! Hugs, Becky
