About Me
I have been quilting for eight years now and it is my fulltime passion. I have a newly remodeled quilting studio that is huge with a nice large walk-in closet for fabric storage, etc. My husband makes all my shelves and storage and almost anything that I ask of him. He's wonderful! I love the civil war era fabrics and Jo Morton is one of my favorite designers. I also love all items patriotic. Love to hand needle turn applique and hand quilt! Also have a passion for making quilted purses. I don't work so have all day to spend quilting as I please when I'm not in my flower gardens or walking and playing with our three dogs. Just added a Tin Lizzie longarm to my quilt studio and am loving it. I have two sons in the USAF both married. The oldest is stioned in AK and his wife Jacki and he are expectiong their first baby in November. They just found out that it will be a BOY! Dayrle is stationed in England and is married to Tenna and has a wonderful step-daughter, Alyssa. My husband and I are now retired and enjoying every minute of it!

Posted on July 16, 2010 at 1:43pm 2 Comments

Evening already?? Seems I just got up and got started! Had to cut strips and piece strip sets today for a mystery "bag" quilt from another group I belong to. Chose fabrics and got all the strips cut and five of the strip sets complete with ten more to go.

Also working on solving a "glitch" that my Tin Lizzie has developed. Got a call last night from a technician and an e-mail with photos describing what I should do. Afraid to touch the inside parts, but if that is what it…

Had sew many good intentions when I got up this morning but got busy catching up on the computer that I never got to any of them. Will have to get up early tomorrow morning as it is the day that my small quilt group Forever Friends meets here. We meet here every Thursday and I like to have my house and quilting studio presentable on that day. Have too many things laying out sew will have to clear them and put away to make room for the other quilters. We always have a great time so am looking…

Hi, Jean,
I read your comment on my wall and couldn't figure out what you were talking about until I came to your page and saw the picture. It looks like it's very handy for travel. I've never been fortunate enough to go to a quilt retreat, but it's in my dreams.

Jean, I was just looking at your photos. Is #1 actually a folding TV tray that was converted to an ironing board? I like it.

Jean, wthe winery is located on SR 52 on the Ohio River in Manchester, Ohio. BUT, local liquor stores will stock it or order a few bottles for you. If you visit the winery, they have a restraunt overlooking the river, and will offer samples with your meal. Also another excellent wine is Haute Sautern from Mon Ami Winery in Sandusky, Ohio. As you can see, we prefer the medium sweet wines. The Haute Sautern is white and the restraunt there is 4 Star, I'm sure. Have a buffet on Saturday nights (I think) with King Crab legs on it!! The place is PACKED then!!! Moyers has another red, but I recommend highly the COUNTRY HOME RED. What are your favs?
