Greetings All-I am new here, and had joined this site, like most of you, to correspond with others who share a love of quilting/sewing etc. This is not my first site and it seemed like a good one to…Continue
Hi Joyce, I really enjoyed your "cat" stories...... What are their names? I love animals, but no longer have any, as my S O is very allergic...... I expect the trip to JoAnn's was a win-win!
I live in upstate NY, west of Rochester and yes Spring is showing up here. We still have having plenty of chilly mornings and evening, but the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing!
We have family that lives in Gilbert, AZ. In fact we are heading out there the end of May for a week. The grandsons last day of school is on the 24 and that is when we fly in to spend the week with them, before it's really to to hot!!
Hi Joyce, thank you for your invitation. I'd be happy to be a "friend." You'll have to post some of your own pictures, I'd like to see your work. I have two girls still at home in middle and high school. Alas, they prefer knitting to sewing, although they've both done some basic sewing and made a wall hanging. I work full time so my quilting time is far less than I'd like. 7-8 hours a week is about my average. I either hand or machine piece, and applique and quilt by hand. And yes, my husband doesn't quite understand why so much time is needed for quilting. It's a great de-stressor!
Hi Joyce, I'm sorry your first messages here were from scammers! Not quite the warm welcome anyone would want. I'm sure you'll find some groups here you'll enjoy. Since I see you like embroidery, there is a small group here of people who like to embroider both independently and in combination with quilting. Come check us out!
Welcome Joyce! Hope that you enjoy checking out the site and getting to know others also. There are a wonderful group of quilters here and the photos are awesome also. Once you start chatting with others and seeing it all, I think you will enjoy it all.........
