I took my opportunity fundraiser quilt, "Charlie's Quilt", to the Glendale Quilt Show, last month, and because attendance was slow due to rainy weather, I had a chance to talk with other quilters who had brought opportunity quilts. Last month my guild had Lyn Mann come to speak and give a workshop on Birthday Quilts, where you use your own birth month and day to create a quilt that is especially for your birthday. A friend of mine is looking for this quilt pattern or quilt kit. It was produced around the 1930s, she thinks. Her mother made this quilt for her, and when their house burned down in a fire, the quilt also burned. My friend would like to find the pattern or kit so she could make another one. It is a fairy tale quilt, and includes Rapunzel, and several other princesses. I searched for this quilt online, and found one quilt made from this pattern, and it is in a museum in Michigan. This…
