A Lap Quilt for the best sister-in-law a girl could have

Posted on December 5, 2009 at 5:12pm 5 Comments

I just finished a lap quilt for my sister-in-law. The top is cotton and the backing is flannel with a flannel pocket for her to keep her feet warm. Can't wait to give it to her. Sorry I couldn't get pictures to rotate.…

Hi Sparky, thanks for commenting on my post. It really was a beautiful morning - almost ethereal with the fog so low to the ground.

Love your quilts and the reversible aprons. I may need to look into those. They would make great Christmas gifts and aprons really seem to be popular these days.

Blessings & Happy Quilting! PQ

Come join us in the group for "Nutty for Quilt As You Go" here at CT. I am doing video tutorials this weekend. We just started a project, a table topper. I have EQ6 available for download or the cutting directions and block are on the site.

Hi Sparky,
I wanted to say I agree with everyone as to how inventive your design is on the tumblng blocks.. & the butterfly border is so sweet.
I can't really make out the background fabric, is it mottled or is there a pattern to it?
Very nice ,

About my dolls. I started long time ago with a Carolee pattern but have altered it to my own thing. There may be her patterns on line. Try Sew Sweet Dolls by Carolee. I love your quilt for your friends granddaughter.

What a beautiful tumbling block quilt Sparky!! The colors are delightful and the "tumble" looks like it just started after a slight nudge. Lovely!
