Linda we have moved to a new build town bungalow off Morrell St, Banks Street.
You probably haven't seen me at guild as I decided that when there last I felt a little disconnected, thinking that there was too much going on,selling, moving and travelling. So didn't renew my membership. But will try again in Sept. Hopefully by then I will be settled and ready to rejoin.

which I am now enlarging to enter into the quilt show here, and have run out!!!!

Pam, you have activated me today. For SOOOO long, I have been lurking and not commenting, but today I have also achieved a long-standing resolution to upload my photos and organize them into something useful!!!!

The new pics are on my page, so go visit! I seem to have done quite a bit in 2 years, but really, I work rather slowly, mostly working out my own patterns or working with pictures( thanks to those whose I have co-opted!). I have also worked on mastering the new sewing machine…

My new machine!!!!!

Friday I picked up my new Phaff 150 Expression, a larger throat machine that I'll be able to quilt more easily  larger quilts. I got it as an "open box" special (they had used it in a class) at the Creative Sewing Festival in Toronto 3 weeks ago, but it was delayed, so  the excitement is a little anti-climactic! There was a great "tool box" with an acrylic table and hoop, and 5 extra feet to play around with. Having 200 stitches is outside the box after having my present Singer with only…

Sample/scrap quilts done!

I have just finished a project which came out of an offer of a deceased fabric salesman's samples from his wife who swims with us and who has MS. She said I would have to wrestle the 8 or so suitcases of samples out of her storage room because she had to move. (She also said they had to empty their car's contents into a dumpster quickly when it had to be sold...I can't imagine what went into that dumpster...what is the opposite of LOL!!!!!!!!!!:TOT-tons of tears?)

Who wouldn't say NO!…

2 week project

I have just received payment for making some Cabbage Patch doll clothes for a lady I know from the pool. She wanted to give to her DGD the Cabbage patch dolls her DD had had, plus a new one. There were 8 altogether!!!!

I had a ball for 2 weeks using up my stash of unsuitable-for-quilt fabrics and made 31 pieces, including 2 pr shoes and 4 panties, plus a Christening dress and bonnet for the "baby", and a farmer's overalls and plaid shirt and cap, since they're farmers! She says she'll…

I have posted some Aboriginal design fabrics I received after I was in Australia last summer. What kind of pattern would best show them off?
The Centennial Quilt was made in Peace River 43 years ago by a church group, where my then-fiance bought it. It will be an heirloom! It has the flowers of each of the provinces and Territories, and is quilted in maple leaves with the dates! I think it was a kit!
The rest ARE by me. I will try and post more photos later.
