Hi Everyone ;

Well like a bad penny , I,m back again LOL. I just wanted to post a pic of my latest finished project . it,s a queensize  paper pieced quilt called Star burst .   Imade the top about 6 years ago , but everytime I thought I would quilt it , I would decide it was just too big to try quilting in a hoop all by myself . So i got a ladies quilting group to do it for me & they did a lovely job , so i just had to share it…

Hi Marlene, How are you doing these days? I was just admiring your red and white dutchman's puzzle block again (along with the other things, all beautiful). Have you done any more with the red and white? Great news, Houlton Marden's now has a fabric department!! I see you have joined Blockswappers. It's a fun group. I love getting squishies in the mail from the swaps. Quilty Hugs, Sandy

Hi Marlene, We are doing well.  Our daughter was married on Saturday and we've been busy with cattle work as well.  No time to quilt, but I still have to get the DWR basted so I can start in on it.  I'd like to have it finished by Christmas.

Marlene, you have some very beautiful quilts! You are one talented lady. There are so many I am especially drawn to. Love the butterfly hankies, the brightly colored butterflies, and all the old fashioned ones, too many to list. Your hand quilting is the best. Love looking at all the talented work of so many ladies around our world. This is a super place to meet others. Can't wait to see your log cabin.

Marlene, I just came from Marden's and they are getting bunches of new fabric.  I bought a couple of  baby prints and a baby panel.   I find myself being invited to baby showers with nothing on hand to take.  So I thought I would make up a couple to have on hand.  They also have quilting books. $3.99 each or 3 for $10.00.  I bought 6 of them to add to my quilting library. Two are Debbie Mumm, reg price $19.95,  three are Leisure arts, reg. prices $16.95, $21.95 and $19.95. And one is by House of White Burches, by Jeanne Stauffer and Sandra L. Hatch. All really nice books. I hope you can get down to take advantage of the great savings. The books are going fast.  They are expecting at least another big shipment of fabric.  All their best fabric, (Thimbleberries etc. are selling for $4.49 a yard.  It's about half of what you would pay in a Fabric Store.

Hi Marlene, thanks for the quilt compliments. It looks like you are a very experienced quilter and what a beautiful Great Granddaughter. I am making my very first paper pieced wall quilt, and am half way done. I'm loving it!! I don't have much time to quilt, as I still work 9 hours after a minimum commute of 1 1/2 hours (roundtrip). I really work the machines on weekends though.

I wish I were in one of your groups, as I'd love to be kept up to date on your work and family. I hope you get your connection solved, and right now I can't see my icon, so you may not get this. I'm showing up disconnected too and can't get the sproket to let me in.

Hi Marlene, How goes the hand quilting? Quickly I hope! I was over to the Christmas Crab today and saw the cutest primitive fabric in this pillow she had on display, when I asked for some she said the ladies in Fredericton bought that up in a flash last weekend! She said the show was lovely. I haven't done any sewing this week as my machine was out to be serviced, thankfully it did not need any parts. It is back home now, I can relax! Enjoy your afternoon, Sandy

Hi Marlene.. Thank you for the compliment. I see we are on the same page, I thought about doing in the ditch for the borders. Do you have any suggestions for the blocks?

Hi Marlene... Just thought I would let you know my borders are trimmed and on the quilt. I will be posting a pic sometime this week. Thanks you again for all your helpful suggestions.  Bonnie
