I'm a retired management assistant who loves to quilt. Self taught, I'm always looking for new techniques to learn. I just purchased the EQ6 program and am in the process of learning the program. Loving every minute.
I stopped quilting for a while to take care of my ailing husband. After several years of dealing with grief, and lucky enough to find someone new in my life, I have taken it up again. I have made severeal quilts (including this Sunbonnet Sue and Sam quilt) that incorporate pieces of clothing from a special pereson. This quilt for my grandaughter has pieces of her grandma's clothing as a tribute and memory of her always. I call it "Sweet Dreams" ...

Thank you, Nancy, for your comment on my Simply Radiant June BOM. This will be my first totally paper-foundation-pieced quilt. Normally I just do a block that goes into a sampler, or at the most a table runner.
Thank you Nancy for your comments on my Sunbonnet Sue quilt. I wish I still had it, but I made it for our quilt guilds silent auction. I don't know why I can't force myself to make it again for myself. Did you notice the little addition of the leaves, etc that are on the border? That was done to cover a little tear in the fabric when I pulled out the basting. I think it added to the look of the quilt.
