About Me
I've been quiltig since I was 8, my Granny taught me to sew, quilt and many other things.
I now do quilting on my longarm for others too and love the process of designing and seeing the end result.
Junior and I have been married 45 years. He was 24 and I was 18. He raised me he thinks and now complains at times. When we had been married 18 years Jr. told my Mom it was her turn to take me for another 18 years, she said "oh no you keep her".....well I told them both where they could go and that they deserved each other and thanks to them I'd be fine.....without them. We truly get on well and like most have ups and downs, thank God mostly ups. We have a son Jeremi who is 41 our daughter Shelbi is 38. Shelbi her husband Steve have given us 3 grandchildren who love coming to the farm. Shaya, Matthew and Michaela whom I nicknamed Murph. They are wonderful and beautiful people.

The center of the quilt is done. Now to figure what to do next.  I'm not hurrying it since we will live with it. Pictures to follow. The bottom is my choices for finishing the top. I plan on doing applique too. Darker green print is the backing.…

Hi Hi!  I got the Box! Thank you so much. It was like Christmas. :o) I will try to send you an email tomorrow. We are preparing for a house showing so I'm a little frazzled. TTYL - and thanks again! :o)

Haha!!! Too many baby quilts going on. :) Thank you thank you! I really appreciate your thoughts on this. As you know, I tend to do "motifs" and then fill in around them. This quilt just doesn't lend itself to that type of quilting. I finished the Amish Star Quilt.  Well, almost I have one more little thing I think I will do. I posted a picture, but need a better one. Hope Angel Pillows went well. :o).

Thank you Jeani! I gave that quilt to a nephew for his wedding. I took your expert advise and added more quilting. Up until this quilt I quilted "sparingly". :)  - - either from fear or just racing to get to the next quilt project. :o) But, I think I'm doing better now. Please take a look at the Disappearing Hour Glass quilt and give me some thoughts on quilting it.

Hi Jeani,

I do piece and quilt by hand.  I've been making lap quilts lately because it is easier to handle.  I just don't enjoy sewing on the machine.  I sometimes piece the back on the machine and of course I do the binding on the machine otherwise I just sit in my comfy chair and sew away.

Looks like you have quite a set up.  Do you quilt for other people?  Your quilting looks great!

(IN response to your response to note on a photo of yours)

some times "new" is not the best fit or way of doing things. Familiar ways are often easier to stick with and get better results

HiYa!  Hope you had a great day too! No quilting today, so far, to busy cooking. :D I'll join the group too, sounds like fun. :D

Thanks, Jeani.  I wish I had more for you to "keep up" with!  I've not been very productive lately.  I put the binding on a graduation quilt for a niece today and hope to have it completely done by Saturday, when she graduates high school.  My other big project is to hand quilt a DWR for my daughter's wedding.  She is getting married in June, but has given me a December extension.  :)  I hope to concentrate on that as soon as this graduation quilt is finished.  What are you working on?
