Hi Paullette, I live in the little town of Oakland, OR. It's about 17 miles north of Roseburg, just off of I-5. Where in California are you?
Hi Paullette, Boonville is 100 miles straight east of Kansas City on Interstate 70 (20 miles west of Columbia). I believe it is about a 2 to 2-1/2 hr drive from Carthage although it is a pretty straight forward trip as you would just take US Hwy. 65 north through Springfield and Sedalia to Int 70 & then we are 20 miles east of that junction.
Hi Paullette,
Check with your local library to see if the paperback books are available through their inter library loan system, or order online through: http://butterfieldbooks.com/.
My ebooks are also available through Amazon and BN.com too. Just type in my name, Linda K. Hubalek, and the list of my books should come up.
Thanks for asking and enjoy!
Linda
No, I haven't made the Lovers Knot. I did buy the instructions and ruler from Elanor Burns though. I have lots and lots of 'want to makes' lol
I have several UFO's that need to be finished. One I really need to do. I have made a quilt for my son, his wife, son and daughter. Also my oldest daughter, her son and daughter, but my youngest still doesn't have the one she wants. I have appliqued some of the cutest cowboy and cowgirl squares but not made them into a quilt, which she wants. She told me that when I die her brother and sister will have their quilt to wrap up in which I made with love. She said she will be sitting there with hers in a Walmart sack! She's a hoot. I really do need to get her quilt done.
Savoy is a very small dot in the road between Bonham and Sherman. We are about 80 miles north of Dallas and I am about 2 miles, as the crow flies, south of the Red River. I've been here in the same place for 40 years now. I haven't been quilting in awhile but intend on getting into it with both feet, very soon! I have enough stash to last me from now on. I'll be 70 in july, widow for 20 years. ok, that's a lot more info than you asked for, lol.
Hi, Paullette. Sadly, the only quilt shop in Red Bluff closed a couple of years ago. I go to shops in Redding (Blue Iris is my favorite there) and Paradise (Morning Star). There are also a couple in Chico. I think the recession has been hard on the small shops. Carol Ann
Thanks for the comments on my page, Paullette. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, but things are a little busy around here right now. Thanks for the friend invite as well. I see you cycled up to Crater Lake. Isn't that an awsome place! I used to live in So. Oregon and would visit there quite often. You have made some realy neat quilts. I really like the wild life one. Look forward to getting to know you in the coming days and weeks. It looks like you haven't been on here too long, so will also say welcome. Feel free to send me a message any time. I will try to be more timely in my reply. My hubby and I are in the process of sorting and packing our things for storage as we will be retiring Aug. 1. At the present time we are planning on moving into our motor home, storing our furniture and what we want to keep, and getting rid of the rest. After 40 years with the same company and 25 years in the same place, it is a huge undertaking! That is why I haven't been online as much as usual. I try to check in every 2 to 3 days right now to keep up with the groups I am part of and the projects we're involved with. Have you given any thought to joining one or more of the groups yet? If you would like to talk to me about them, feel free to send me a message. We each have a private messaging box as well. Up in the box at the top right where it says 'inbox' you can click on that and then follow the prompts to get to the messaging site. I will try to message you that way later this week so you can see how it works. I will not be online until late tomorrow night as my hubby has to be at the hospital for testing tomorrow.
Well, I think I've rambled on long enough so will say good night. Hope to hear from you soon. You've joined a great group of gals.
Quilty Hugs to you! -Cindy
Hi again, Paullette!
I hope you don't chose to delete the site. They are really very good here. Once in awhile something finds it's way in and they take care of it very quickly, as soon as they are aware. I think it happens in every site at times, the people out there that do it, seem to know just how to get around the system..... but usually get caught fast!
I will keep in mind the fabric you are asking about, but don't know where you would find it for sure. Do you know who makes it? That's a start, check on line and you may get lucky that way!
Enjoy your day!
Carol
Hi Paullette, I expect your Mom/Daughter weekend was awesome.... Sorry I am just getting back to you now. What new and wonderful items get you find on your weekend?
May I mention that I am not at all sure, but the email below mind doesn't seem like it has anything to do with quilting. You may want to report it to the site and they can take care of getting "rid" of it for you. If I am wrong, I am sorry for even bringing it up, but I just want you to be safe on the site also!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Carol
