It may have been a quiet week in Lake Wobegon, but not at my place.
As I'm sure was the case with most people, especially in…

I spent my birthday plotting out a new chart for a smaller doll sweater. I've been knitting it this week. I'm already almost to the neck.
It should have…

Just to catch up on the quilting:
I'm working on the swag now, and I'm right at the first corner. In some places the cross-hatching right above the swag needs to be completed. Soon I'll be finishing the outer edges, and it's going faster, now that the book is (mostly) out…

Peggy are you O.K? I miss your column.
ttfn Marianne UK ,
Hi Peggy, your quilts and artistry are fab, wish I had a bit of your talent lol
Thank you Peggy. I have the site up on a tab on my computer right now. I have used crayon on fabric only once but did not embroider it. I am interested in trying it again, and with embroidery. I love the look, and am getting back into simple embroidery stitching, slowly. I used to do quite a bit, long ago.
It's funny how quilting has changed my color vision. I am not a fan of purple-but-when a quilt screamed at me and stomped it's little foot, I added some purple applique and it was perfect. What do I know??
I love all that space you have in your sewing room. My room at the house is 15x20 and this one is 10 ft square. But this one is cozy and the big closet helps keep it neat. Right now I'm working on a table runner with applique so I have a mess in there. I pulled out several colors of fabric trying to decide what colors to work with. I do miss my office desk and bulletin board but I'm making due. I put stuff on my closet doors with that putty stuff. It comes off easy with no damaged. Where there's a will there's a way.
Peggy,
Thanks for the link to the train quilt. Looks great!
We've had a hard freeze as well. It is raining here today, which is needed.
Love the socks and all you have to share..
Here's my baby quilt. Went back and read your post on the Modern Pine Burr and the tip on matching crossbars. Mine didn't go exactly as planned but I managed to match everything. More or less, Ha! Ha!
You mentioned poodles in your March comment boy oh boy my ktn kisses all poodles and chichisu coming down sidewalk. Those poodles are so happy for their new found friend. I have to watch him when he outside this lady across busy streets has 3 running inside her fenced yard. He eyes them and they make their presence known by yapping. I grew up on farm with medium size dogs, I too have found new love for small dogs. Very friendly!
