May we all remember our service men and women today. I had two brothers. One retired with nearly 40 years of service in the army. The other one died on his 21st birthday. He was in the navy, but died from health related issues. I think of them and so many more who died protecting our country, Oh!! what a wonderful country we live in. There are negative things happening all around us, but we MUST put a positive spin on our lives each day. Smile and the world smiles back. Reba

Amazon has them too, but you need to put in Chris Wolf Edmons to get them to come up.

The postage is 6 something and the book says buy it now and has 99 cents. I paid 7.62 for mine, so they are comparable.

Reba, I had lost mine, so just bought another on eBay. I checked and there are no more listed, nor are there any on Amazon (where I also had a choice the other day). If you keep looking on sites, it is A Year in Stitches and the author is Chris Wolf Edmonds of Kansas. It is really wonderful. On my page, I have her Sept., Oct. (stolen), Feb. & March patterns. I just loved how she combined 2 patterns in 1, like the School House with country roads for Sept. I also will be putting on the Dec. one and am remaking the Oct. one (the reason for purchasing the book).

Good luck in finding it!

My 3 kids, 2 spouses, and 1 significant other will be here for Thanksgiving. The Grands will be other places. The 2 married ones with the other side of their families. Oldest GS should be working or with his Dad. Youngest GD will be finishing her last clinical and studying for Boards so she can go to work in January. She will be with her BF or maybe I should say fiance. He gave her a diamond 2 weeks ago, and she is still floating high! Have a great weekend!

I'm glad I checked your site tonight. I needed to know about prairie points also. I'll copy from Ally's instructions. How are the sports guys doing? Our local high school team has only lost one game, and they are in a new division.
What are you working on at the moment, if you have time? I'm trying to finish the few spots of embroidery on a baby quilt. He's due in December so time is getting short. Holding the square to embroider makes my hand hurt, so I can't do more than 2 or 3 at a time. I'll get to work on that tonight. Have fun with the boys. Too soon they are grown and gone. Mine are 28 now.

Hi Reba,
When I first started quilting in 1999 I always used prairie points especally on my baby quilts.
The way I did mine was as you know you cut the square that you would like ,I think I did a 3 " sq. for baby quilts. Step1. So you fold diagonally once, then fold the triangle in half again. I always did mine all then put pins untill I finished.
Step. 2 I usually place my corners in first - so that would be one facing one way and the other facing the other, pin. Do this on all four corners.
Step.3 count and divide out equally if you have a square quilts.
Step.4 If you have two long side and top and bottom same. Make enough points so that they have the same amount of points on correspondings sides.
Step.5 slot them the folded side into the previous point so the side point is in about 1/2 inch. Overlapp them all the way along in this manner. If you find you have in to tight ease out a bit. At this point you have to play about a bit.
Step.6. When you have them all pin in place on the top of you quilt sew quarter inch seam . I always do a straight line right off end and started each row again. Then clip off point of corner(be careful).
Step.7. Then fold rough edge to back and catch in the backing with a slip stitch all the way around.
PS> I haven't done them in a while but I think I put the pairie points on baby top before quilting, batting and backing I found a lot easier to handle.
Also if you go to "you tube" you may find a video on it not sure but it is worth checking out.
Hope this has been helpful. Any question please let me know. Ally.
